Sorry if this sounds a stupid question. I did search the FAQ in this and the 4th Gen Maxima forums. But I couldn't get a definite answer, and my google search gave me confusing results as well...

So if someone can give me a clear answer, I'll appreciate it:

For 1997 Infinity I30, does it use Timing Chain or Timing Belt? (I know all 4th Gen Maxima use Timing Chain, and I30 is supposedly similar, but I just got different answers from google...)

The I30 is not similar to a maxima...it is about exactly the same as you can get without it being the exact same car.
