paradox parts install...

they said that you need some kind of alcohol based cleaner for the installation of many things...where would i get this stuff from?also they spoke of some kind of 3m primer so the tape will stick on perfectly.

Go to any pharmacy... or supermarket.. Pick up Rubbing Alcohol.. for skin.. just to get rid of oil on the parts that you need stuff installed.

Cefiro8701: The 3M sticky tape they are refering to is made my the company 3M. A lot of car parts that are meant to stick on to the car such as the sunroof wind deflectors, the ventvisor rain and wind window deflectors and other parts almost all use 3M tape. you can get a roll of this usually at the parts store and then cut what you need for whatever you are doing.

Paradox-Systems mirror LED shells come with the 3M tap already in place so all you have to do is take the protective backing off and then stick it on.

The cleaner stuff is just what SYCEFIRO said. Basically just put the Rubbing Alocohol on a cloth or whatever and clean the surface you need the 3M to stick to. Rubbing Alocohol will dry quickly and basically evaporate off of whatever you put it on leaving it free of oil or dust or fingerprints, etc. Basically it gives you a very clean surface for the 3M to stick securly to. You could also use the alocohol wipes. Either way it just helps the adhesion process.

I love my I30 too, but I take no offense whatsoever to the fact that they have Maxima Lover, Maximaniac, Maxima Fanatic, etc. for us. First off, the site is Maxima.org, not I30.org so you gotta know that it's based around what the domain's name is. Secondly, our cars basically are a Maxima just tweaked differently with a couple additonal luxurious options, but that's all. Same engine, engine bay, anything you can pretty much think of.

Yes, you should think of your I30 as an overseas maxima. Ever see the picture of the Iraq police in their maximas?http://www.ccmep.org/2003_articles/I...eak_up_ira.htm

or an Australian maxima?http://www.autoweb.com.au/cms/usedca...4/vehicle.html
