I have a 2001 I30. I wanted to make a thread of opinions on the Angel Eyes for the I30 because I'm thinking of buying them. Some people have told me that they're great, and some have said that they have leaking (moisture) problems.

 

Does anyone here have the angel eyes already?

 

.. leaking... long as its sealed rite.. its fine.. my headlight is cut open like hell and its fine with no leaks.. jsut make shure its alll sealed up .. use silicone.. and make it nice ang tight..

as for appearance.. i dont like it.. causei think its a bit too ricer... like i mean i know its to mimic the bmw.. but ... we cnat ge thte right color to start off .. cause all these kits use leds and not hologen .. like the bmw... and due to the diff size of the two circlular parts of the headlgihts... it looks strange.. like this

i dont know its kinda strange... althought the new bmw is like that.. but i do tnkwo i think it doestn look good but thats my $0.2...

however .. i have been considering doing the angel eyes on my i30 98.. cause im using the bmw healight parts.. it should prove to looke pretty decent..

 

But do you have an I30 now? Or you've just seen it on an I30? Cause you said you're getting a 98. I have a 2001, maybe it would look different. But if you've seen it on that body style and u say it doesn't look nice, I might reconsider.

 

i have a 98 rite now with the xenon projector and all.. but im thinkign about the angel eyes.. because it will lokk lie this on the 98

which I think looks funny.. specialy since these angel eyes kits use the led bulbs.. which are like hyper white and all thse funky colors..
I have see the kits up close and personall.. have seen them from distance.. and i think they look funky... and they dont fit on.. and dont have an OEM feel.. cause u can seee that there seperate form teh headlights... which is annoying.. I think.. but then again other poeple might think its cool.. but I think its funky.. specialy the size.. is whats bothering me. cuase its like u cant have OooO or liek teh civics wihtthe little ittty bitty angeleyes.... oooo ... it has to be .. OO OO even sized.. well doesnt have to be.. but looks nice like that...

I can't think of a reason to have those things. They may look "cool", but the hassle of installing them and the added complexity they bring to the assembly completely overrides the "coolness" factor.
