toothpaste in the I-ride?

The little plastic piece that your left foot goes on has become deteched in my i30. it is to the left of the brake pedal. It appears as if it was being held on by some sort of white glue. I was wondering if I should use any sort of glue to reatatch it, or if it didnt matter. I don't think that toothpaste would do the trick either, but that is what the factory Infinity glue looks like.

I tried epoxy cement, duct tape, and carpet tape. The first two didn't work for s#!t, but the later seemed to work the best (about three weeks ).

home depot, lowes, walmart, kmart, sears....it's a small gun that you need to plug into a electrical outlet, and you put the glue stick inside the gun to melt the glue. it should not be more than $15 for the gun and sticks at walmart.

OR do as I did and spend $15 on a 350Z dead pedal install that, and finally have a decent place to rest your left foot!

Here is the DIY: http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...24200&page=18.

Although this is for a 5th gen, it works the same on our cars as well. Also, the Anniversery Edition Maxima pedals that he has can be installed has well. I have not done that yet, but I will in order to complete the look!
