keyless remote question

Hey guys,

My old remote keyless entry broke and I bought a couple of the new version remotes of ebay.

old (broken)

new

I got the instructions but the new ones do not work. I checked the baterries in them and I tried the instructions but they don't work.
I aslo tried the instructions on the old style remotes and they works just fine.

I have a 97 i30t, so do these remotes work with our cars? do they use a different frequency?

Thanks in advance

I too got new remote for my I30, but look in the back of your new remote....see the FCC# and the P/N#? make sure they match with the old remote's one. if yes, replace battery.

No, they don't.

You bought a remote that works only on 2000/2001 (it might work on later models but not on those older than 2000) Maximas (thus I30s).

I wish I could buy your remotes off you for my 2000 I30 but I've already got two remotes. Well, you can always re-sell those at ebay or Classified Forums here.

Make sure you will buy a remote with FCC ID#A269ZUA078 next time.

PS: I agree, the new one looks better.

Wow, a newbie bumping 5 year old threads in order to promote their business............please go away. Forum moderators frown on this type of activity.

I second that recommendation. E-bay's a great market for remotes. Got one for my I35 for around 30 bucks. Just make sure you chedk the numbers this time.
