Infiniti I30/I35/Maxima QX

Has anyone ever heard of the Nissan Maxima QX. Well it is actually the Infiniti I30/I35 sold in the US. In some countries abroad, the Infiniti I30/I35's are sold as a Nissan brand and they call it Maxima QX. I have actually seen one before in person. It looks just the same except for the front grille and the name on the back and in addition it has side turn signals and the side markers are orange in the front and orange in the rear unlike the US where it's orange up front and red in the rear. If you go to any search engine and type Maxima QX you will be able to find a picture of one. or just click on the link below.

Man I have a Maxima QX myself However, the interior is different from an I30... it has the dashboard of a US spec Maxima... nice and smooth! Wouldn't wanna have it any other way.

Check it out bro http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/524144

Peace, Max

Hey euromax, do you got Black faced Gauges or White faced gauges? If Black, how did you get the gauges to light up Bright White at night?

www.urbandictionary.com is a good place for finding the meaning of all those words not in your standard dictionary

Anyway, yeah I think it's well known here that in the rest of the world, Maxima =I30/I35 Same applies here in NZ, although here it comes in more then one trim (the current one comes in 9 different trims!).

Does anybody know WHY US Infiniti I30 A33 has 227HP and the European Maxima(I30) A33 - 200HP? Could it be because of the SAE and DIN specifications....? Thanks!

Probably what others have told you (didn't you post this on NICO?)

ECU differences + your engine might not have the VI.

On NICO? No, i didn't and don't know about this forum. I do have the VI either and like you said - maybe it's from the ECU!? The only one main difference between this cars is in the muffler. The US version has a double tips on it and European just single. Probably it has to be something with the intake, but what? Any help appriciated!

If it's double and single tip, then yes one difference is bound to be the muffler. The twin tipped exhaust is the VCM. The single I believe is just a normal exhaust.

Probably it has to be something with the intake and that's why US Maxima/I30's muffler is different than mine....

Guys, thanks for the replays!
