Gauges
Gauges
Finally!!!!!!! HaHa, Damnnnnit man. I know Dr. Monkey is gonna be happy or atleast I suppose. Since, me being the stubborn ***** that I am refused to give up on tryin to convert our Stock Black Faced Gauges to a Bright White light output, instead of jumpin to the White SE Gauges like most others. I tried everything from Inverted tips to Non-Inverted from Super Bright LEDs and sanded them and also without sanding the tips. None of that worked, the output was purplish-blue tint. Then I took the blue condoms on the stock bulbs and glued them to the inverted White LEDs so the blue could alter the filter in the Black faced gauges as phenry warned me of. That STILL didn't work. So back to the drawing board.
I couldn't come up with anything in the meantime so I put the blue condoms back on the stock bulbs and let the dull yellow white output continue on, along with my whole dash/steering column apart lol. I recently got tints and I've been wantin to change my City Lights to Hyper Whites, so I bought a pack of Polarg M-4's. As I threw them on my passenger seat I happened to look and say wait a second these are wedge bulbs, lemme see if they'd fit in my gauges. Since my dash was/is already apart I quickly took the right 2 bulbs out and threw these 2 new Polarg Hyper Whites in and turned on my lights and......Crystal Clean, Bright F-n White baby!!
It's about damn time, cuz now I can re-do my whole interior in White LEDs without worrying about why my gauges are yellow compared to the rest of the car. Now, all I gotta do is buy 3 more packs (2) of them. 3 bulbs to finish up the gauges, 1 bulb to do the Auto Shift Control and the other 2 bulbs for the originally planned City Lights. I'm so happy right now, you guys don't understand HaHa.
Sorry for the lengthy post as well, but I feel it's worth it. Hope you switch over Doc, I know you love the White.
