Need feedback - buying 2001 I30T in 2 days!

I'm considering buying a 2001 I30T w/34k miles on it this week. My '95 Max is on its way out. I need to hear from I30 owners.

1) Are there any major or recurring problelms that you have experienced that I should know about (like with cold start problems with the Maxima, transmission problems, etc)?

2) I drove the I30T and loved the interior, but road noise seemed to be high. Is that b/c of the low profile tires?

3) Are heated outside mirrors standard on that model?

4) With the heated seats do the bottoms and backs heat up, or just the bottoms only?

5) If I buy a used one can I get an extended warranty from Infiniti for another 3yrs or 100k total miles?

My Max had a lot of problems and I don't want to go thru that again. If the I30 has some of the same issues my wife wants to get a new Accord or Camry. Thanks in advance for your responses!

See my other reply as well.

1) No major problems like transmission, etc.
2) Road noise, possibly - I have non-stock tires (falken 512's) and they are really quiet, never had stock tires so I don't know how loud they are. Anyway for me, it is mostly wind rear noise.
3) Heated outside mirrors are standard I believe.
4) Just the bottoms only.
5) Yeah, you can get extended warranty as well.

Don't buy an used Nissan/Infiniti - u're better off with the Accord.

Thanks for the two replies! You've helped save me a few headaches for sure. I'm going to go in another direction. I've always been a Nissan fan. But I think it's time to switch. Hopefully you won't have any more problems with yours. Thanks again.
