I don't think it has ever been done, but I imagine it would cost more than a 5spd conversion which I'd rather have anyway.

edit: I don't know if something like that is even possible...

i saw it on American Hot Rod they decided to make an automoatic car and use a small computer so they could have tiptronic.. but for a 17 year old.. sorry its gonna cost you around 2000$ from what i imagin. so i would just stick to gate shifting.. do the drop resistor mod and itll shift just as fast!!

Are you guys serious? That would be an undertaking like no other. I know it is fun to play what if, but unless you have the ability or the money to do something like this please don't start these types of threads

There WAS a kit that used the cruise control buttons to shift, but there wasn't too much interest on here and they weren't mass-produced. You might be able to find a used one for sale but there weren't many made at all if I remember correctly. I think it was ~$500-600, I could be off though.

gate shifting. is moving your shifter from first to second.. and second to overdrive and overdrive to drive. (shift to drive and press overdrive at same time then to shift to fourth press the overdrive button again) really simple. your just moving your shifter though its gates
