hey guys i was wondering if in your i30 is the green led light always on, on your auto dimming mirror showing the current mirror setting. ie day or auto??? i just installed one and was wondering. i also have a black auto dimming mirror out of a 96 i30 BLACK mint condition if any one is interested let me know.

 

Mine is always on auto everytime I turn my car on.
If I change it to manual it stays in manual until i take the key out of the ignition.
I am interested in the black rear view mirror, pm with a price

it wouldnt be "auto" dimming if it didnt go inot the auto feature when the car was turned on.. hehehe

ahh u have a max? with retrofit i30 mirror..? now what power source are you using.. is it a constant supply or sumthing like... ahh tap form cigg lighter which only has woer when car is on..? thats what im guessing.. so if u tapped power from a source thats constant.. tap something that goes on with ACC

 

definitely tapped a wire that is hot 100% of the time.

 

ya i m going to rerun it to the clock... there are 4 wires i'm using two of them anyone know what all of them doo

 

ahh clock has a constant too... so.. why not jus t use the cig lighter.. thats what everybody uses.. hehee.. its the 1st tap people think of...

 

I know it's an auto dimming mirror, but if i leave it on manual when i turn the car off, i would like it to stay in my setting rather than setting it to manual everytime( i have dark tints, whenever is really dark i can see much)
you can tap it to the dimmer as well.

 

i like the way i set it up becuase it will stay in my settings so i'm gonna keep it with constant power. luigi did you get my pm

 

anyone got a picture of the wire that plugs into the mirror and the spot right above the windshield?

 

oh hey clever.. i never though of that.. yea i have tints and its annoying sometimes it is hard to se.. i mean i have like the lightest tints they make... but stilla t nights.. its hard.. hmm... u freakin genius... my apologize for my dumbass-ness hehe...
