How does this product work?

I came across this product http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33598, it claims to be tuner that can be connected to the ECU and give me a few more ponies. This tuner is going for $60, not expensive but I don't want mess up my ride. Anyone installed this tuner in their ride? What do you guys think? or

Don't buy!

What this thing does is only fooling the ECU to think it's -20 degrees outside. By doing so, the ECU gives the engine a slightly richer mixture. Fuel economy will drop and you'll maybe gain 1hp....

Crap....

This is a scam, but somehow might work on some type of car that actually uses IAT to determine incoming air temp, but surely not our car. Our car uses the MAF to determine air temp, not the IAT. Even if it did work I would not use it because you actually want cooler air entering the engine, not the computer thinking cooler air is entering the motor. Can you say detonation?

Why would you gain power? A richer mixture will cool the charge and slow combusion, resulting in hp loss!

DO NOT BUY. Probably does nothing at all, like half the bullsh!t on ebay.
