Rear Spring Swap

What do you think of this idea? I have a 2001 I30T. I don't like the firm harsh ride, so I am may purchase rear GLE springs off of a 2003 Maxima. I will then swap my I30T springs for my GLE springs, and then put on Tokico Blues, or KYB GR-2s.

Will this make my ride more plush? Also are there any negative effects to only replacing the rear springs, as opposed to all four corners?

Supposedly the only difference between SE and GLE suspension and t/sport and regular I30/I35 suspension is the rear springs. If plush is what you're going for, then you definitely have the right idea. There won't be any negative aspects (in terms of problems, if that's what you mean).

Honestly though, I've driven sport (mine) suspension I35s and non-sport I35s and couldn't really tell much of a difference. Some claim they can, maybe you can too. Something else to consider too - GLEs and regular I35s came with slightly thicker 215/55/17 tires - this may have helped contribute to a cushier ride as well.

If your going to replace your struts also go with the tokico blues, I think you can fit 225s on the stock 7 inchers right? Also a quiet tire makes the world of difference.
