Infiniti I30/I35 00+ Stereo Dash Kit (PICS)

Well I finally recieved my dash kit and looks pretty sweet. I am not sure if I am gona be installing aftermarket unit in the I30 since I have to still work on the maxima but here are a few pics. Pricing for these is still unknown but you are looking at about 80-100 bucks. I will have to confirm with a couple of folks on the availability.

Grrr Ossamah. They came by to deliver it today but I wasn't home. I'll have to get it tomorrow.

And it'll be a bit before I install mine too. The HU I want won't even ship until April.

That is sweet. Is that the dark wood or the light wood? The picture isn't really clear.

I just purchased the Eclipse AVN5435 for my GS400. I'm waiting for it to be delivered.

I have a friend who works at a car audio shop, and he asked if there is a dash kit for 2000+ I30's, and he said, "Yea sure". So i am going to go and see it how it looks.

Just got mine today. For those wondering, it is in fact a dark-colored wood trim.

I don't know how the woodgrain on the I30s is compared to the I35s, but it is darker than the woodgrain in my I35, and will not match. I do plan, however, on taking it to a painter shortly to get it vinyl dyed to match my interior.

It is definetly a close match for the 00-01 I30s.

while you are at the painter, ask him if he would do some sort of group deal on the painting for us. does the color of the other part match the color of the dash at least, or is there a discrepancy?

I assume you're talking about the gray/black plastic part, right?

I haven't compared it in the car, but the color itself is a dark gray, very close to black actually.

about the wood trim colour in taiwanese model cefiro
A33 (late 2000 til 2002) is darker
A34 (2002-2004) is lighter
they changed the front and rear headlight shape (not much) in late 2002, and called it A34

not sure if this has been addressed before...dont think so. i got an '02 & my hazzard button is down by the lighter. it looks from the pic that the hazzard on the kit is between the vents. any provisions for this?

Two solutions:

1. You can put something else in place of them
2. Keep two hazzard light button (the one on top would be a dummy for you) or hook it up to something else (sub on/off wires)

Delivered? As in bought from the net? WoW thats alot of money to spend when considering the loss of THREE years warranty as well as the loss of a theft protection. I guess to each their own...

Well, No one around where I live sells eclipse any longer. I didn't have much of choice, besides the radio is useless to anyone who steals it due to the esn. You can still enable the feature, eclipse just won't track/replace the unit once it's stolen.

The unit is actually selling for close to 1900.00 shipped at a few different places on the net.

Warranty is a very over rated term. When you buy a world renound brand, a warranty isn't necessary. The product and company rep speak for itself. The craftsman ship is apparent in the Eclipse AVN5435. Now if you buy say jensen or some cheesy other brand, a warranty is a must cause you and i know that it will die sooner than you think, thus requiring a warranty to replace the cheap unit.

I dont know about that but thats pure luck. I have seen some highend radios going bad so I wont say just because its an expensive item it wont go bad. I would rather have warranty on a $2000 radio compared to a $100 one But then again what ever makes you happy :-D

This is true.

I was also reading in the warranty info that I don't get the full 3yr warranty, I only get a 1 yr warranty because I isntalled it myself. It's enough for me. I'll probably end up changing my radio again.

But you dont get the 1 year either, since it wasnt bought from a dealer. Internet sales yield no warranty at all. I understand your point of it being "higher end" but in all reality things do break, regardless of the company. Just an unfortunate thing.

Maybe your right, I could have sworn I read that in the warranty book that came with the HU. No big deal, I have confidence in the product. I never once had a radio die on me.
