Loose rear view mirror

I have a 2000 I30t. I just noticed there is alot of play in my rear view mirror as if it was loose. I took it apart and slightly tightened the screws on the metal piece attached to the windshield, and reinstalled the mirror. It is still a little loose.

Has this been and issue with the I30?

mines is almost off because of my bass, i saw a repair kit at kragens but i never picked it up...if you very steady with your hands you can superglue or krazy glue it, maybe even clear silicone

On my '99 i30, there's a screw right behind the mirror. It's covered by a rubber plug, just pull it off and it'll expose a phillips screw. Tighten it alittle bit and it should stay put when the bass hits.

Mine is loose too. Haven't figured out how to tighten. Was thinking about adding silicone between it and the winsheild.
