00 I30t sub rattling
00 I30t sub rattling
My sub is rattling on my I30. It looks as if I can just pop the cover off the sub to tighten the screws. Anyone know if that is the correct way to access the screws for the sub? I am talking about going from the back seat not the trunk.
I ran across this site a couple of days ago which tells you how to get rid of subwoofer rattle. Hope it helps.

I think it's just an eight incher.
I ripped out the rear shelf (a lot of work), removed the subwoofer, and put dynamat where it mounts. The actual vibration was caused by the middle seatbelt tensioner though. I took that apart and put some foam inside the little white bucket it sits in (look in the trunk and youll see three of these hanging down from the shelf).
This stopped the vibration for a long time, but came back with the cold weather.
