The big key here is that they have the reflective housing which means WAY BRIGHTER when you go anything higher then stock. I have PIAA bulbs from Japan and I get flashed pretty frequently. HID's are very cool and nice looking but a good set of H4's will do you fine. Just my $.02.

I just installed Cefiro's in the Max. What is a good set of H4's?

Piaas...Silverstars...depends on what color...the best and most reliable IMO are PIAAs but the thing is they're kinda pricey

I recommend a brand called MTEC on eBay, it produces a 4300k color, and is just as good as Silverstars or Piaas. I mean come on, all these xenon wannabe bulbs are just bulbs with a blue tinted glass which in turn produces less lumens. So if you are going to buy those bulbs, may as well as buy cheap ones.

The PIAA's I've got are purpleish... I really like them. I get occasional flashes when they are on low so I take that to mean they are bright!!

Just to let you know the "K" number is not a measure of light output. It describes the color of the light in degrees kelvin. Once you go above about 5000k you start to LOSE light output.

Really high wattage bulbs are a bad idea also, as they have a tendency to destroy your wiring... unless you upgrade that too.

.... HID's are so cheap nower days for an OEM pair off ebay.. or junkyrd...

you can buy a h4 shield.. that goes under the bulb and helps adapt the d2r bulbs to the h4 housing..(no modding of holder or any other creative stuff).. it gives cutoff line.. wihtout color band like projectors.. but u still get cuttoff.. and also flares up to the right a bit to light up road signs... now im goign to be getting the cefiros and installl hid 4300k from nissn and redoing my projector setup..(unless a friend of mine buys the projector...) if not dont knwo what im gonna do with 2 sets of headlights.. once im done might sell the projector set up.. but whatever.. thats for another time... hehe

but yea.. this link might help... if you guys are interested in things...

A lot of the Max guys have done it. I think the kit they seem to be using most is from XTech.

Availability of A32 Cefiro/I30-compatible side skirts in the US?

Which side skirts (if any) are compatible with the A32 I30?

I'm looking for something similar to the ones on the car below.

I believe the skirts on this Cefiro are by Autech.

Thanks for the offer. Fairly new to the A32 chassis, so I've got lots to learn. The 'Org' by far has been the most informative though. Currently the car has a solid drivetrain, so not looking to do any repair/maintenance type stuff anytime soon (knock on wood). Basically looking to do simple suspension/exterior mods first.

This whole "newbs cant start threads" thing creates so many O/T threads

I guess it's supposed to be worth it, not getting the repeat threads???

Yeah, tell me about it. While off the subject can someone tell me the modding required(if any) in going with the horizontal grill on a 2000 I30 and what options I have in regards to horizontal grill. I mean can I just go back to a 99 version and get that grill or do I have to AEM?

There is no modification required to switch to the I35 horizontal grille, which IMO is the best looking option for the A33. Paradox Systems used to have a mercedes style grille that is a lot less expensive, but Im not sure if they still carry it. If you want pics of them all just check out my site.

You would not be able to use the A32 grilles as they are a completely different shape.

Please pardon my O/T 'sideskirt' post. I'll make sure to make the donation so I can utilize the search function. I'm sure it takes a load off the server by restricting the search function, as well as cutting down on the O/T & redundant posts, but it sure does make life difficult for a newb.
