Drop????????

Had a Honda Civic, the whole nine, angel eyes, HID, Wing, Tints, Carbon fiber taillights and it was dropped with 17" rims.
Hit a big bump and the air bags deploy.
I'm thinking it's because of bigger rims and it was dropped.
Now i got this car i'm thinkink about dropping just a little.

Any advise?????

Lots of ways to do it. Depends on what you want. Big drop, ride quality, price etc... I run with the JIC setup and probably have the best feeling ride for being that low on 18's but it is $$$.

Well, congrats on the new vehicle. I think you've made a big step up from the Civic and those rims are sick!! I think a drop is in order, but I'd suggest only a 1" drop. BTW, you may wanna spend some quality time with inside walls of you rims...they're a bit dirty.

Very nice ride though.

Most of us with the A33 body style just have Tokico Illuminas and H-Techs. I find the ride perfect. I had my illuminas at 3/2 before, and I adjusted them recently to 4/4 and loving the handling. I couldn't believe the difference in the settings of the suspension. Perfect drop all around (check sig) 1.7 front and 1 in rear. I think it looks even lower now that the springs have settled in.

Nice car, but you definately want to drop it. Go with the Tein springs & Illumina struts or possibly coilovers if you want to slam it or have the $.

there was a group buy for the ksports as well, comparable to d2 (taiwan) but made in japan....

http://www.jinsu-power.com/product_i...products_id=43

not a bad price and comes with camber plates in front in which teins lack, or like everyone says spend 300 more on jics

I've got the Eibach springs with Tokico Illumina's. It's a pretty decent drop but im switching to tein h tech's due to the stiff ride with the eibach springs.

nice drop on the I. I noticed you say the ride quality is too stiff with the Eibach springs. do you have the sportlines or the pro-kit's?

Your wheels have to be one of the most unique style wheels I have seen to date. Good job on that find. As for the drop, I would agree with everyone here on the Tokico's and Tein's.

How do I rewire my I30 foglights???
I pried open the relay box (passenger side) and located a PINK (not yellow like on maximas) wire with 2 horizontal silver stripes. This is located on the relay named "FR FOG LAMP"

Cut this wire, Tape off with electrical tape the end that comes from the car, and splice a wire about 1.5 feet or so to the other end (the end that comes from the relay box (blue thingy)).

This wire you spliced from the relay box now will be snaked down to your passenger side corner marker lens, tap it into the RED wire. (It may be helpful to remove the side marker and tap it close to the base of the bulb socket. There are only two wires here, pick the one that is red )

BAM! your done. See how easy??

Use the pink like KNYFE states.

This is an easier way to do it than having to "snake a wire from the relay box to the corner light". Get some quick splices, and keep it all in the relay box. Takes all of about 4 minutes.

Ershi30, would you mind posting where you got your side-marker lights. Do they have blue bulbs in them?

Thanks

I'll try to clear it up... We started talking about dropping bi30's I35... Lots of options and opinions given as usual. Then bi30 asked about the foglight rewire since we were all giving good feedback in this thread. During this discussion, clayman88 asked about ershi30's sidemarkers. That should clear it up for you... Try to keep up next time guys!!!

LOL...apologies to bI30 if you think I'm hijacking your thread, but I just had one more question for ershi30. Did you just simply swap the bulbs out with xenon bulbs or did you have to install a whole HID kit just for the side-markers? Anytime I hear someoene sayXenon bulbs, I automatically think there has to be an HID kit involved. Am I confused here?

Yea you are, haha. When people say "xenon" bulbs for non-headlights, they mean a blue tinted/coated bulb that shines white.

Also, ERSHI30, when you said you cut the factory bulb bracket, did you put in another rubber ring to prevent moisture as recommended by Paradox? Was it easy to cut the bracket? *buying clears soon*

Thanks man. I'm slowly figuring out all the talk about HID/Xenon bulbs & kits. I was worried about getting the side-markers from Paradox Systems cause they have blue bulbs, but are you saying that they wont actually shine blue?

The Bulb size that comes with the clear corners are 194. I just went to a performance shop and bought Xenon Super white bulbs. There is no kit involved. It's just a regular bulb replacement but brighter. The blue bulbs that come with the clear corners, they shine blue. I didn't install a rubber ring around the socket after it was cut but I recommend you do. I never had moisture in them. Cutting the socket is fairly easy but take your time in doing it. Thanks.

Use an exacto knife, pocket knife, utility knife.

Any of the above should work. The plastic's not that resilient.
