since this is the i30 forum....who else would kno better bout the i30 themselves but u guys.

my question is....i have a 97 maxima...i want to do an i30 front end conversion. including upgrading the fenders...bumper....hood...
since my max is a 97....do i need a 97 i30 donor or can i use the front end from a specific year range to swap to my max?

thanx a lot guys for any help. i asked in the 4th gen maxima forum but i would be at ease if i asked an i30 owner..

well the youngest year I30 u will find is a 97, but all 97-99 i30's are interchangeable with 4th gens. im not 100% sure tho on all the pieces that u need. hopefully sy will chime in since he has done it.

 

Why do you say the youngest year is 97? Any 96-99 should work. It is extensive from what I have read. Good luck and please post pics here when you are done!!!

oh crap my bad my head was definetly in the gutter on that one. im thinkin of max's vs i30's i completely forgot they had 96's i new there was a year or 2 between the 2. wow i feel dumb now haha. but yea a 96-99 will work.

 

Two Fenders, Hood, Radiator support, Fog lights, corner lights, headlights, grille, maybe a stronger/ newer hood struts......

may i suggest starting off with cefiro pieces (headlights grille)

becaues i30 headlights and grilles suck ballz iMO.

 

what in my post was misinformation? if u read down i corrected myself about the year of the car sy has done it and any year 96-99 I30 front end pieces will fit on any 4th gen max....

 

Well if you throw a i30 front end on it first the cefiro lights would fit perfect.
