I bought a set of headlights and fogs off of E-Bay and had them all blow within 3 months. I bought another complete set at Auto-Zone and now the pass. fog is out. Has anyone else had any problems with these? I though they would last longer.

 

Yeah, I had silverstar fogs in my car for about 4 months before the drivers side blew. I had planned on upgrading to silverstars all around until the crappy length that the fogs worked.

 

They are not good quality at all!! I had a set on my I30 for 3 months and the low beam went out. The next month the other side went out. On top of that they cost $40 @ Pep Boys. What a waste of money.

 

I have them in my fogs and have had no issues. I have PIAA's in my headlights and love them. The are far "Whiter" then the silverstars. Actually have a set of PIAA's for my fogs too but haven't had the time to put them in yet. Am I the only one who thinks that they are the hardest thing in the world to install?

 

I have had them in my car for about 1.5 months now, thats not long, I know, but I drive over 800 miles per week, and haven't had a problem yet BUT I've heard alot of people on here complaining that they don't last long, If they don't last as long as the original ones that I took out (10 years, 150k, and there still fine!) I'll get the piaa.

 

okay...i've had mine for like....1.5 years now..and they've been great.
im surprised they didnt blow out like everyone said they will...i even touched the bulb a few times.

 

Cool. Looks like we got lucky with ours. I've had them for over 2 years now. No problem whatsoever. Knock on wood...

 

yeah..not to mention it looks better on cefiros...how i got 9004 to work...i have no idea.

 

I had them...

9004's burned out in 6 months
9007's didn't last 3 months
Currently using h7's, no problem yet......

 

I've had mine on for 1 year and no blow outs...I do night time driving every night for at least 30 minutes a night...so go figure

 

Why did Infiniti make it so it's a project to change them?

 

Damn! $40 each?! At Auto-Zone, they were $20 a piece for the fogs and they had the twin 9004's on sale for $20.

 

why not buy yourself a set of Xenon's? Much better quality, last longer & looks great!

 

I hate Silverstar halogens... the only SilverStar product I feel worth the money are the signal bulbs, they're quality, and they actually do a good job of staying inconspicuous and not-amber while off in my i30's rear signals and cefiro front signals. Headlights? I use Sylvania Xtravisions, cheap, reliable, and brighter than standard Sylvania Halogens

 

I have these in my other vehicle. They've been in over a year w/o issue.

 

I went through about 3 pair of them. Waste of $$$$, Upgraded to HIDs!
But I agree replacing those fogs are no joke! a real pain in the %^$
