Yes it does fit and yes it is plug n play. I put one in my '02 Maxima.

I put a Gentex brand (the brand of auto dim mirror that a lot of the automakers use) in my 96 I30. You can put an auto dim mirror with compass, temp guage, map lights, UV indicator, etc. in any car.

I have a contact as well if you are interested. This guy sells brand new mirrors with any features you want on them. Great prices and great customer service. I have purchased 2 from him so far.

Brio Max, Any auto dim mirror will fit any car. Now, having said that, you may have to do a slight mod. For instance, my 96 I30 had the mirror that mounted to the roof and a lot of these audo dim mirrors mount tot he windshield. Very simple fix. Buy a mounting button from any auto parts store that fits the mirror you are purchasing, stick it on the windshield, mount your new mirror, run the wires, and your done.

Don't let "the man" hold you down from putting what you want in your car. Just because the car doesn't come like you want it does not mean it can't be done.

I do have a stock auto/dim mirror but without a compass, so that's why i was thinking that all I35s came with compass/mirror and that's a plug & play....

 

Are these standard on the I35 or an option?

I'm looking to buy a 2002 Infiniti I35 and I'm researching them.
