What do you need to do? I highly suggest you do some of the simple stuff yourself. Also, PM blackbirdvq, he is a mechanic in Chicago.

I assume you mean tie rod and not 'tire rod'. You can get a tie rod end from nissan whole sale for about $30 and then replace it yourself.

Just need a wrench set and a half hour.

If you are going to have someone do it for you, I would not pay more than $50 labor for replacement on 1 tie rod end.

Hi i30ds,

I love reading your replies and the way you make complicated things look simpler. I have one problem when I read your replies. Its your avatar or the picture that is attached to your profile. Its kinda scary man....please don;t mind, but can you put something less scary.
Thanks

Things are always easier in writing... but a tie rod end in definitely pretty straight forward. Search for a good how-to with pictures, or find someone in the area who knows what they are doing and start playing around.

Doing so will give you a lot more confidence when something else arises and the sense of acomplishment is great. You've got to start somewhere... All of us did.

Hell, I just tell it how it is and make simple things look simpler. If you have a couple of wrenches and can figure out how to take the tire off, you can replace a connecting rod. Working on cars is not rocket science.
