get some chrome Guage rings from paradox systems. 35 bucks. free shipping. I am about to do the same since they're back in stock now.

 

After installing the gauge rings, my needles(tachometer and speedometer) didn't want to move any more... and i hade to shorten them in lenght...! My cluster is for M/T Maxima, but looks exact same as for the A/T model...
Has anyone had the same problem?

On my old car, I took apart the cluster (including removing the needles) to install white-faced gauges. After that they wouldn't move, and so I pulled them up (higher off the gauges) a little bit and they moved more. But they never moved like they used to, and seemed to want to stick. I never really found a solution for that...I ended up buying a used cluster later down the line and replaced the whole thing...

Yeah, he can do that if he doesn't mind having a flat black lip on there (not an issue for you and I). Having had a couple, don't bother painting them if you're putting them on an A33 trunk.

 

Oh, on a side note - use the money to build yourself some Lexus-style white LED license plate lights...
