little help here please!

hey guys,
have a little problem here.
I sold these wheels to a dude in Alberta, Canada; one of the wheels suffered some damaged in transit (friggin' UPS) and I need to know if this is repairable and how much it is. Yeah, so I can reimburse that money to the buyer.
She already asking for a 100 bucks!
The damage is on the inner lip all the way to the right of the picture.
Thanks for the help!
Sorry about the huge pic, I don't have any image software to resize it at work.

What's the damage? I can't tell because the image is too large.

In any event, I've known several people who have had wheels repaired and it's usually run them around $100.

Can't you file with UPS for damages? All packages are insured for at least $100 and more if you asked for it.

Yah, i can see the lip is bent inwards on the right side there. Not sure what it would cost to repair, but have you found out what UPS' policy is on damaged items? Do they require to purchase extra insurance?

You can at least crop it with ms paint, a little tricky but definately can be done. That Rim is pretty bent though.

I'd say that $100 is about what it would cost to repair that. Definitely talk to UPS about this. I believe they should cover it.

They fixed the rim for 105 Canadian which is like $95.
Just issued the credit to my buyer.
I was reading the "disclosures" at the UPS receipt and guess what? Unless you pay extra they don't cover $hit. I guess I learned my lesson.
Thanks for the help though.

Unless something's changed, every ground shipment is already automatically insured for $100.
