Sneak Peek..
I just finished them and put them on the car. Going out to aim them tonight. I'm afraid I might have to open the driver's side back up...I kinda knocked the shroud with the inner trim when putting the lenses back on. We'll have to see after I try to aim them tonight.
But yes, OEM electronics, OEM Housings, I30 Halogen reflectors, GE 5100k D2s, TSX Clear Lens projectors, and Mini Cooper shrouds.

EDIT: Big thanks to StL I30! If he didn't send me a set of halogen reflectors to work with I would never have had the ***** to do this on my stock D2R reflectors.

wow that looks nice. damn I almost wanted to congrat you with a new car.
I like your second attempt since no aftermarket can compete with stock housings (in terms of look). Don't forget to post some final pics.

Damnnnnn man!! I thought you bought the G...I'm glad you didn't cuz now I don't have to be jealous.
Are all those llittle holes for LED's? Just asking cuz I've seen them on trucks where they had LED's under the Halos as City Lights. Nice job tho...can't wait to see more pics.

Those look fantastic! Mini shrouds... good choice. Definitely get those lenses polished up and post lots of night and day pics.
Have any pics of how you mounted the projectors? I would love to see how you accomplished that PITA job... Unless of course it's proprietary info.

Thanks guys. No, there aren't LEDs in the shroud. The black "holes" in the shroud are actually a translucent type of plastic. On stock Mini Cooper projectors the light bleeds out and illuminates those holes. When I hook up my city lights again they should backlight those spots too (I hope).
As for how I mounted the projectors..I'll have to see if I have any photos. But it's really nothing special. Cut out enough room in the back of the reflector, drill holes, mount projector using screws, springs, washers, and nuts, and then JB Weld.

Hmm...good news and bad news from the aiming.
Driver's side headlight seems to be high enough...good, though I'll probably want to re-mount the shroud.
Passenger's side headlight cutoff is rotated maybe 1-1.5 degrees counter-clockwise. From 25 ft, it's almost impossible to notice, from a much greater distance, on a wall, it's more noticeable. However, on the road, it looks perfectly level and the beam seems to terminate down the road before it can be seen.
That said, I think I'll re-open the driver's light to fix the shroud, but I'm not sure I'm going to do anything about the passenger light. I'm not sure that I can get it much better, and it's pretty good now, and I already JB Welded the nuts.
I also didn't take beam shots because there were too many people at the church parking lot I use for aiming the other night. Too much attention, LOL. I'll go back after I re-mount my shroud and take some more photos; I'll even bring my tripod, hopefully for some sweet night shots.
Plus, seems like the OEM lenses take away from the color, somewhat, at least compared to the aftermarket headlights (shame they can't be swapped).
But, all that aside, these lights look bada$$!!! I love seeing them on the car. They look damn good, and practically OEM.

Wow!! I Would have posted sooner, I had to ban myself from the internet for a week to finish up some projects.
Anyway, the lights look nice meta. You already know what I am going to ask you, so I will keep that between me and you LOL.
Nice G. I kind of new you were messing around, spending all that work on the I. I was going to post something like that awhile ago since my 03 G35 was in the shop for a month because of the tranny. I had a month to play with the 07 G.
I will send my lights to you via ups for the 2nd OEM retro fit (couldn't resist). lol

Meta, you made a nice job again!
Just a quick question. After instaling these OEM headlights, do they aim automatically like the stock ones depending on the rear suspension position..., if you know what i mean?
Thx

Thanks again everyone. Just took the car on a road trip and I just love TSX projectors.
I think I know what you mean...I'm guessing on your car that the lights either auto-adjust or that you have a dial/switch inside that you can adjust the height of your lights, right?
Unfortunately, USDM cars didn't get that option
I figured out that it existed when I took apart one of my spare headlights I had laying around. I took off the panel behind the upper adjustment screw on the housing and found a wire harness connector and an electric motor behind that. I figured in other markets this option was made available, though strangely, in the US, it didn't make it (despite being equipped with the electronics).
But, if it works the way I think it does, then the level adjustment (auto or manual) should work just the same. Since the level is controlled by angling the reflectors, and the projectors are attached to the reflectors, it would still work very well (and be rather sweet).
I thought about trying to retrofit the in-cabin level adjustment (I think the Murano has a switch that would probably work), but I just ran out of time.

Yeah that's exactly what i meant.
Basicly the Euro A33 came out with 3 models - SLX(VQ20DE), SE(VQ20DE) and SE(VQ30DE). The SE has as a standard Xenons, el. spray washers for headlights and the auto-aiming option. BTW, here's a low about the xenon headlights and every car must be equiped with all of these options....
The SLX model has a in-cabin button(1 to 5) for manual adjustment of the headlights(non Xenon).
I can get pics if you want and maybe wiring diagrams for the headlights.
So, the US i30/35 has no aiming option except those screws mounted on the back side of the headlights?
