New G35S Wheels & Debadged **PICS**

It's been way to long since I've spent time on the forum. My new job doesn't give much free time to browse at work. I picked up a brand new set of 07 G35 Sport wheels and got them mounted a few weeks ago. With all the ice storms and snow here, I just finally got them washed and waxed. Oh and last but not least, I finally took the I30 badging off. I think it looks very clean now.

I'll post pics tonight!!

heh...yes, sadly I do. The moment I saw them, I've been thinking about dropping it. I must admit, the enormous wheel gap is decreased, but still very much there.

Looks surprisingly good. Sidewall looks tall though, overall diameter is the same?

yea what sidewalls are on those?

i just picked up a set of g35 coupe wheels last night with 245-45-18 tires. im debating whether to go down to 40, maybe even to 235-40-18 but at the same time i want the biggest sidewall possible.

Looks good. Lower it slightly back to stock ride height (I assume it's slightly raised now) and it will look even better.

If you lower it you'll almost definitely rub in the rear (overall diameter for those tires is too tall).

The front...probably not.

I have been wanting these for my I. The only thing is I wouldn't want the staggered set up on FWD. Is it possible to rotate the tires? I think these would look sweet on my black I with a drop, smoked front head/fog lights and I35 grille. Has anyone attempted to smoke the turn signal and reverse light area in the rear? Wonder what that would look like.

The wheels look good, but I don't understand why people are putting 350Z and G35 wheels on a maxima's since the front and rear wheels/tires are different sizes. RWD wheels and tires on a FWD car. So are people putting the wider tires in the front or in the rear?

Ride is fine, maybe slightly more rough, but nothing to speak of. I put the wider wheels in the back. The offset doesn't make any difference to me. I can't tell once they're mounted and neither can most other people.

I would like to see the same thing. The guy I bought this from was selling them because put 19" G37 wheels on his new G35 Sedan. They're beautiful wheels.

^ I'm still debating rims for the A33 I just might pick up a pair when ever g35driver is back up and running I'll start looking in the for sale sections. What have you noticed handling wise with the staggard rims?

Honestly, no difference to speak of. It's just an every-day driver for me so I don't do any kind of racing at all.

Well being that I will be in Afghanistan for the next six months you will probably beat me to it. But I have been thinking about it for a while. My dream for my I30 is these 07 G35 Sports or M Sports, tint (might do it this week), Smoked headlights, and the smoked blinkers. Oh and I want a lip spoiler and side sills.

Paid a grand and got them from a guy on G35Driver.com. There are always rims for sale on there, unfortunately most of them have a little curb rash. These were brand new when I go them.

Thanks for the compliments! I really need to get a decent camera and take some night photos. The color of my I30 and rims look sooo much better in a parking lot at night with street lights.

I got my 03-04 G35 Sports from G35driver.com too. I guess I got lucky because mine had no curb rash at all, to say they were a couple years old. Plus I got the for $500!!!! With tires.

Clean ride.. Might I suggest some Trim brite blackout tape on the chrome window.. That should sport it up a bit and match the tires.. I just got my car finished and it is night and day better W/O chrome.. I need to touch up a couple spots, but i'll try to get some pics up soon.

How hard was the Trimbrite stuff? I still can't find it locally, but have heard that doing the curves of the window is a b*tch.

I went through Amazon to snag some.. The stuff is great.. It has a slight metallic sparkle to it in the sun which makes it look legit.. The front window corners are a PITA, but I did find that if you stretch the top piece down to about 1/3 into the turn you can overlap the corner and it comes out smooth (minus overlap). Once trimmed its barely noticable to the untrained eye.. Make sure you cut it in half.. 2X the original length should get you around the whole car..

I'll snap some pics this weekend if it stays dry and I wash the beast..
