Speed Sensor Wire and Park/Neutral Position Wire Location?
Speed Sensor Wire and Park/Neutral Position Wire Location?
Anyone know where I might find these wires?
I need to find where the Unified Meter Control Unit and the Park/Neutral Position Switch are located. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Your car is I35, right?
OK, i do not know about the wires, but the meter control unit should be located in your cluster

and the park position switch is under the shifter.

I'm not sure, if this helps

Sweet! Thanks, man! I'll have to try that when I get home!
(Its an i35, and I live in South Bend, IN.)
Also, I was wondering why it needed the reverse signal from the gear position switch and not the Drive signal. That doesnt make sense.

Got instructions for how to remove the center console? I can't remove the gear shifter with the console still in place.
Or, is there another place where I can tap into the reverse signal? (I don't really want to run a wire all the way to the reverse lights, but I will if I have to.)

My guess is that it is so that it knows when the car is in reverse so it won't flip the direction around. The p/n switch in the diagram you posted is NOT located on the shifter assembly, it is in the engine bay, on the side of the trannsmission, it's a big black plastic thing right on the front of the trans that is shaped kinda like california. This 12v signal does pass into the center console area though because in addition to the back-up lamps it also goes to pin 35 of the tcu . Access to the tcu can be tricky, but the up-side is that this wire appears to maintain g/w throughout

It's already kinda been stated, but the "unified control meter" is the fsm's name for the gauge cluster.
