I30 HID Glare Shield

So I have started gathers parts for my retrofit but in the mean time, I decided to try and make some glare shields to reduce the amount of light being reflected off the bottom of the reflector in the headlight housing. Nothing perfect, but it does help a lot with the glare IMO. Here are some pics. It was really easy.

You can't really tell much about glare without wall pics or straight ahead shots. And really wall pics tell the whole story.

What does your headlight use? H4? A much better option would be to use something like this:

with a D2S bulb. Of course the best option is a projector retro, but it sounds like you're already on your way there.

They worked for me. The shields seem to help. Some night pix would be better.

Nah, my housing uses those crappy 9004 bulbs. It doesn't irradicate all glare, but before I used to light up my neighbors roof now I don't get much light above the next cars rear bumper. I have all the parts for my retrofit and was planning to start soon, but I might trade the car in for a M45 this week.
