Possible GD on CF I30 hoods.

Not sure how many of you have already come across this thread but I'm real interested in getting a carbon fiber hood for my I30 and I'm sure some of you are too. I asked about I30 hoods and though they're not in high demand we can get a good deal if we can get a few more people interested.

Here's the link.
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ml#post7958380

We need at least 5 to see if we can strike up a deal.

I am interested, but would they be able to accomidate a modification to the hood?

Around where the Intake manifold is for most of you guys, I had to trim my hood reinforcement, would they be able to make a hump or have it a bit raised in that area. I can provide pics of the area that needs to be raised. essentialy the area betweeen the two windhsield washer nozzle.

I dont want to hack up a CF hood if they can accomidate the hump in that area. Similar to like the later model 350z etc. I dont mind if the finish isnt that perfect CF look as I will be painting it anyway.

I def. am in. Would this be the shipped price? I would take the plunge as I got into an accident and have to fix the hood. This would save the body work and all i need is paint.

I wouldn't be able to tell you but I'm sure you can ask the OP in the posted thread. He'll be able to answer your question.

depends on price and style. no reason to pay for a OEM cf hood, put some vents and make it some what functional and aggressive.

Honestly i would not do this....i dont have an A32, but if i did i still wouldnt go through with it. Unless youre building the car to get some performance from it, the benefits wouldnt be justified by the cost. Just my opinion....good luck to you guys though.

I'd be interested in a stock looking hood but wouldn't be apposed to subtle change.

the majority of everyone everywhere who buys a carbon fiber hood doesnt buy it from a performance standpoint, rather an appearance standpoint...Just letting you know

To those who do participate, what do you plan for the grille? The stock chrome grille wouldnt flow well with a CF hood.
