Rear Parcel Cover to Take Out Third Brake Light?
I just got my rear spoiler put on, and it says on the instructions that a cover was made so that you take out the interior third brake light so that the spoiler is used instead. Does anyone know a part number for this or even have one? I submitted a parts inquiry online for my Infiniti dealer but I won't have the chance to call until Monday. Just thought I'd see if anyone would know so I can get a jump start on looking. I'd need the one for the I30 with the sunshade in a beige interior. Thanks!

I actually just called my local dealer and they didn't have it in stock. But they located it at another dealer so I called them up and I'm gonna be driving down to pick it up tomorrow (dealer is an hour away) at Bridgewater Infiniti. Guy said he was actually happy I called since it had been sitting there for a while. If it's of any help to you, the part number for mine (Beige) is B6595-2Y211

Not sure if graphite is grey or black, but when I picked mine up, the guy showed me that he has a grey one. And said mine had been sitting since the dealer opened in 2005

Just to help if you install it, from the backseat, push the light housing towards the window and then lift up the side facing you. The light will be free from the opening (you might have to pull up a little hard since it's been sitting in the car so long, seemed like it was velcro-ed down at first). Then use a small flathead screwdriver to separate the plug, its damn near impossible to get the plug out just with your fingers. Then tape down the wire that would supply power to the third brake light to the metal underneath (I put like 4 strips down since I don't want any awful vibrations while the sub is doing it's job and the clip would just be laying there to move and shake as it want it), and just slip the cover into place with the clips that are molded onto it. And you're done!

I actually got my spoiler off Craigslist last year. It was a OEM kit for an I35, but it's virtually the same car as my I30. Since its OEM, it came with the templates, instructions, torsion bars, etc. that I needed. And yes, I did have to get it painted since it was OEM black. But it only cost me $120 (my dad's friend owns a body shop and gave me a good deal), and it was done right, not just some cheap Maaco job that would look like hell after a while. And my dad installed it, just had to drill 7 holes in the trunk lid, but the templates took care of that guesswork.
