This all looks so familiar

I notched the corners of the lip to help it sit a little more evenly on the bumper. Still ain't perfect, though.

And trimmed the lower three vertical bars:

And the black mirrors:

And the blacked out grille (with the chrome center section)

LOL okay I saw the lip from other forums and it's purely coincidental the way they are, but I did get the inspiration to do my grill from yours I just didn't do the middle tab. SO...I'm not copying you And Thanks! It's nothing close to your car though

I think that unless you're a professional painter, it's probably going to look like ****. I would hold off on that one.

You think? It wouldnt be that hard to do, just tape it up and put newspaper around it. I think it would look sort of like a diffuser

I think taping the lines perfectly is going to be the difficult part, and this isn't something you can un-do if you mess up.

Actually I can peel it all off since it's plastidip. Your opinion of how it looks at least might dissuade me to do the rear then. Might do the chrome lining on the coors instead

Thanks! My buddy is a great photographer.

Yeah, I'm not in love with the way the lip flares out at the corners, but aside from somehow pulling it in from the back, there's no way to control that shape right there. Oh well.....

mayur914 is correct, they are Enkei RPM2 17x8

ok, what if i cut it right where the bumber curves and then install the rest the chin separately? Maybe that will keep it from sticking out at the end??

I think that would be very difficult to do properly and have both ends match up. Plus, having the lip in three pieces, you would probably be able to see gaps between them. Part of the problem is just the way our bumpers curve. I really don't think there's much that can be done about it. I've learned to live with it (ignore it).

It's easy to say that when your car's bumper doesn't have compound/complex curves like ours do! Some cars just take better to the GDL than others.

The curves really don't look that bad, and in fact they add a lot of downforce

i've done it on many other cars also, including 4th gen maximas, 5th gen maximas, accords, civics and even a toyota venza.. they CAN look really neat/ oem like if you do it right. i dont have any other pics but handy right now

I believe it's just easier on some cars than others. I've done mine twice now, and there is just no way that I see that you can get it to NOT flare out at the corner, due to the way the bumper curves. If you can get it to look proper on a 1st gen I30, the by all means, post up some pics and show us how it's done!

I think you can eliminate the flare by cutting the pieces behind or under the lip that fold

I tried that a couple years ago. That flared-out part made me throw $9 in the trash.

I put my 16 inch 98 Max 5. Spokes on in place of the 15 inch Infinity wheels. I just wish I could have been able to swap the center caps.
