Help please

I have recently put on new tires and alignment and now my steering wheel will pull to the right when I accelerate. The car still goes straight but the problem I'm having is when I hit about 40mph or let off the gas the steering wheel will hop back into the straight position. I've checked the front steering and noticed the sway joint on the driver side is broken. Can this be the cause of my steering wheel acting funny?

How hard are you accelerating? It could be that you're getting torque steer. It happens when there is a good amount of power on front wheel drive cars. Maybe the tires you just out on don't provide the same amount of grip as the old ones. I know that my old Toyos were nothing compared to the Continentals I put on

I ease into it to try negate it from happening but it always happens regardless.
