i30 warpspeed y pipe

What's up, now before you flame me trust me I've been researching for a while now and haven't found a solid yes or no with improvement etc.
I have a I30t with cali emissions. I want to buy the warpspeed y pipe. When looking it up for an I30 I just see the fed spec y pipes...no cali spec.
But when I look it up for a maxima with cali spec it has the y pipe.
Now has anyone ordered it for a maxima for their I30 and it fit fine??

To see if you have Cali or Fed spec, look at the exhaust pipe right behind the catalytic converter. Look from the driver's side of the cat. If you see a O2 sensor, the car is a Fed spec. If nothing is there, it is a Cali spec car.

Hmm...I kno I have a cali spec car. I don't have a o2 sensor after the main catalyst. I was thinking about removing it too...what you think?

I'm not sure if you are saying remove the cat or the sensor, but removing either will probably cause the check engine light to come on.

Removing the cat will cause you to fail an emissions test, so if your state has emission testing, you obviously wouldn't pass. The check engine light can be avoided if you get a simulator to replace the O2 sensor.

Removing the cat won't hurt the car, you would get a tiny performance gain because of reduced back pressure in the exhaust. Whether you could tell or not, I don't know. Personally I would leave the cat on. It is an air pollution device and we do have to work on that. Think back to the Olympics in China when they had to shut down all the businesses and severely restricted traffic for several weeks to get rid of the smog.

But if you have any questions about the y-pipe fitting, call warpspeed. I just got one about 2 weeks ago, but I had some questions so I called them. They also gave me a discount that I would not have gotten if I ordered on-line.

Wtf!!! Oh well. What's done is done. But here's two weird things. The first one is I have emissions testing twice a year and the second weird thing is I have no o2 sensor monitoring the main catalytic converter.

the Cali cars have 4 O2 sensors, one before and one after each pre-cat.

Fed spec cars have 3 O2 sensors, one before each pre-cat and one after the main cat.

Well you would think that it being a cali spec car the main cat would be monitored too. The reason I'm debating about getting rid of the cat is because it's broken inside...

It's sort of uncommon for the main cat to break up, it's the pre-cats that usually do that. But it is what it is.

If you have emissions testing, I don't know how you can get around deleting the main cat. You will have to replace it. You probably saw that Warpspeed offers the y-pipe wit a main cat.

They pretty much just hook the diagnostic connector to see if there's any codes. And that's it.

If your testing doesn't doesn't put a sniffer up the tailpipe to check hydrocarbons, then you can delete the main cat. You will need to get what is called a test pipe to replace it.
