A Few Quick Questions about my 01 i30

Hey everyone, just picked her up and I'm wondering if it came pre-wired with heated seats? I don't have switches, but there is a fuse for them.. also, curious about replacing the bulb for the analog clock and front dome light. Don't know what size I need or how to go about replacing them. Guessing the dome light cover will just pop off with a flathead.. clock looks like it would as well but a flathead would probably wreck the trim, no?

Have two SES codes but it's just secondary 02 sensors in bank 1 and 2 so I'm just gonna overlook them for now. Maybe sim them down the road but I understand I'm not losing out on any performance or economy with them out (could be wrong) so I'll just deal with the light.

Lastly, she's hesitant to turn over when cranking unless I flutter the gas. Thinking IACV or fuel pump... what do you guys think?

The car is most likely wired for heated seats. There's only four bolts holding down the seat so you can easily check.

I'm not sure about the clock but the dome light cover should just pop off.

Give the TB/IACV a good cleaning.

Here's the writeup for the clock light replacement: http://forums.maxima.org/infiniti-i3...placement.html . A lot of people have replaced it with an LED bulb or even changed to the black G35 clock. If your map light (the light next to the sunroof controls) is the same as the 2000, it uses a single BA9S bulb (miniature bayonet). You do use a screwdriver (or a pry tool so you reduce the risk of damaging the lens) to remove the lens, just stick whatever you use into the little groove molded in. Just a note that if you change it to LED, you may have to take out the sunroof control panel and cut two wires to cross-connect them like I did as LEDs can only be connected to power one way. One code I had was P0158 (sensor 2, bank 2). I replaced it since I hate seeing that SES light on and the sensor cost me $240 from my local dealer and I've seen a lot of threads floating around that using non-Nissan sensors or coil packs won't solve the issue and the car will still throw a code. That sensor has the red wire and looked pretty simple to get to when I watched having it replaced.

If the wiring is there for the seats, the wiring for the switches should be under the center console.

Thanks guys, I feel like I'm noobin' out hard here but are the side mirrors the exact same as the Maxima as well? I ask because the cap on my passenger side busted off and my color is gonna be a hard one to find..don't wanna buy two aftermarket mirrors for the sole purpose of matching either. Maybe CF mirror caps?
