So I did the swap on my 99 I30. Now I'm having idle problems. I'm running a 5th gen iacv. I've tried searching amd no solution has come up. There are days where the car will act like the one in the video and there are times where you'll start the car and it'll rev to 1600 rpms then gradually go down to its normal idle then after a minute or two it'll stsrt to go back up to 1600rpms. I tried spraying throttle body cleaner around the motor but no change in idle.
Please help

Check your throttle cables, they may be too tight.

 

I did. That's not the issue.

 

So today I was able to mess around with the car for a bit. Heres what I did
So I removed the iac valve start the car up and quickly put my finger in the intake port where the valve goes. The thing wanted to shut right off. Unless I had the throttle slightly open.

I put the old iac back in.
I idles at 800rpms in gear with the ac on.
1000rpms with the ac off while in gear.
In park doesn't matter if the ac is on or not 1500rpms.

 

Sooo...this morning got up. Started her up. Was idling around 700rpms.
Idling like crap. None the less it was idling where it supposed to be.
Then three minutes later it shot up too 900rpms.
Then about a minute or two later I start to hear this suction noise from my cai and the idle started raising up.
