So this piece at the drivers end of the lower intake manifold...what is it? I over-torqued one of the upper intake manifold bolt and thought it would be better just to buy a new one. Well, the new one came and whatever this piece is, is in **** poor condition and the one on the car now is way better so I want to swap them...any thought how how to remove it and what it is?
It is vacuum driven and moves some "flaps" inside the lower intake manifold for each one of the outlets. Sorry, I might sound stupid - just need some direction what what's next...
Whatever is the best thing to do...I was thinking I would just swap my good part onto the new intake - if I can eliminate it, what are the gains? Losses? How is it done? What would you do on your own car?
