i think my maxima should be the next maxima of the month because after i sold my other maxima and my daily driven car was stolen i built this maxima in a month. did a lot of things on it like changing the color from black to red car looked like crap when i bought it now it looks decent. cleaned her inside and out i dedicate my self to fix this car since i bought it from day one till now. im a car enthusiast when things have to get done i do it right the first time or i dont do it at all..this car is also for sale. was planing on keeping her but i changed my mind. hope this car gets picked. now on to the pics..

It is my 1st and only car ever, was purchased with 70k miles (1997 GLE, sage mist green, automatic). When I got the car I had no clue what a car really was, all I knew is how to put gas (and I actually would put the Regular instead of Premium) i was THAT ignorant, I thought the marble sounds from the engine were normal.
I started having sensor issues and discovered the Org, and thats when the lightbulb came on. Started with ypipe/catback, little by little adding things here and there, then BOMZ CAI lol, then 00VI, then drop resistor (I became a master with the auto thanks to Jime and Aaron). Then started tuning the car myself and became pretty good at it, managed to get almost 200whp from an auto 3.0 with just an SAFC in Miami hot weather. Then was nitrous, then I was having issues with the car turning off and and missing, I borrowed 95blkmax z32 injectors to make sure mine were not the issue, that ended up turning into a whole project: The first ever rear mount turbo maxima, with no knowledge of how a turbo system worked or even owning a turbo car or driven one. I educated myself with the help of the org and google, disproved a few people that were skeptic and it was a successful project. Then I followed 95blkmax's steps and put in a 3.5 which blew within a week (it was already bad from the junkyard). That bad 3.5 motivated me to go even further, and here I am, below is my mod list:

Im in Orlando somewhat smooth roads ftw.
My parents bought the car in 2000, since then I would try and drive it as much as possible, and do small mods. Eventually I was able to buy it from them and claim it as my own.
For being 14 years old the car is in great shape.
As far as mods go nothing too major in my opinion.
I have it lowered, but only working with the stock suspension. I have 2.5 coils cut on all four corners. I haven't decided on a coil-over setup yet. I do plan on making it sit on its face though. All my cars have always been grounded. Static is the only way I will go.
Wheels are 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. 35mm et on all four with a 5mm spacer out back. Wrapped in 225/40s.
-And yes, they are not the right bolt pattern. Some slimmer lugs with a little effort and they bolt right on!
Engine mods are basically just a cut out air box, and removed muffler.
Sound- Replaced the Bose HU after the infamous volume ghost moved into the car. still rocking the Bose speakers- they seem to never age.
Lighting- NO LEDS for me. Not to knock anyone else's car but some people go way out of control with the LEDS. Keep it simple. I've got HIDs in the front, with aftermarket assemblies. I was never a fan of the huge reflector look, I like the split high/low much better. Out back are 50/50s.

- Contact info - email or PM? - we need to contact you if we pick you.
- Mods you have made, if any or things you have done to it (i'm not talking about oil changes and filling it up with gas).
- 50 words or less why you feel "this" car should be MOTM. Because i think it's cool won't do it. Tell us something about it...why it should be picked out of all the other Maximas on the forum. Perhaps a small story about how you got the car or how you work on it..etc. Don't have to be Shakespeare but please use proper English.
- Most important part!!! - post pictures...please no cell phone camera pics. let's see the shine here. Borrow a friend's camera if you have to...host the picture on a site (photobucket or similar) and link it to the thread. Please wash/clean your car!!! Don't leave personal items in/on the car for the photoshoot. Please no more than 4 pictures. A good mix would be front, rear quarter, engine, and interior. Just give us a good idea what you have going on there. If you get picked we might request additional pics from you so be ready.
Failure to follow directions will cause your post to be deleted or your nomination rejected. I don't want to hear the complaints. You have been warned. Rules are subject to change.

I have already uploaded several pics in the past but I was trying to upload a few current ones showing the new MODS like the R2C intake for example. It just keeps giving me an error but I'm sure that can be fixed easily with some guidance telling me what I am doing wrong that worked before in the first place. I would like to be MOTM because this car has transformed since the day it was purchased in 2000 by my best friend (Edward) who now resides in Colorado (yes i drove it home from there in 2008). He gave me a really good deal and I really liked this car since he's owned it. He also gave me his login and password to this site
. Most old school maxima owners know him too... He should deserve most of the credit because most of the mods were there when I bought it plus he got my attention to Maximas. I just made some changes like the 5 speed swap, cattman exhaust/headers, wheels and brakes, and the sound system was done by me which overall a pretty good amount of mods myself. I just want to finish what he started with quality parts. Most of the parts I have now are from fellow org members. I've also attended a lot of maxima meets and met so many helpful and inspiring members who still share the same passion in owning a Maxima.

I bought the car in the summer of 2010 for $1500 from one of my friend's family friends, with 125,000 miles. Since then, I've done any and all work that I can with the tools I have avaliable to me. From oil changes, to the "Other Work Done" I listed; every modification I made, I made myself, no shops aided in my Maxima being the way it is today (Other than putting on tires, and doing diagnostics). From rolling on steelies, and running like $hit, I've taken my Maxima to a new level--aggressive, sleek, and smooth. My friends who also like to modify their cars, used to give me $hit about my car. My slogan of choice for responding to their criticism was always "I'm doing what I can with my family sedan." It speaks for itself. I am 18 years old, and have just moved into my dorm at University of North Carolina Wilmington, and feel that although I may not have 100 posts on here, I have spent my fair share of time looking up "DIYs" and reading all of the MOTM nominations up until my own. Although I may not have the most mod's or stuff like that, my car represents my dedication to the community, and the fact that I represent my maxima like no other.
