Since 95blkmax did this, id like to add some information about my car for those that do not know.

It is my 1st and only car ever, was purchased with 70k miles (1997 GLE, sage mist green, automatic). When I got the car I had no clue what a car really was, all I knew is how to put gas (and I actually would put the Regular instead of Premium) i was THAT ignorant, I thought the marble sounds from the engine were normal.

I started having sensor issues and discovered the Org, and thats when the lightbulb came on. Started with ypipe/catback, little by little adding things here and there, then BOMZ CAI lol, then 00VI, then drop resistor (I became a master with the auto thanks to Jime and Aaron). Then started tuning the car myself and became pretty good at it, managed to get almost 200whp from an auto 3.0 with just an SAFC in Miami hot weather. Then was nitrous, then I was having issues with the car turning off and and missing, I borrowed 95blkmax z32 injectors to make sure mine were not the issue, that ended up turning into a whole project: The first ever rear mount turbo maxima, with no knowledge of how a turbo system worked or even owning a turbo car or driven one. I educated myself with the help of the org and google, disproved a few people that were skeptic and it was a successful project. Then I followed 95blkmax's steps and put in a 3.5 which blew within a week (it was already bad from the junkyard). That bad 3.5 motivated me to go even further, and here I am, below is my mod list:

Why MOTM? I think I have been loyal to the org, have never left and have always tried to provide as much help and support as possible. I constantly get PM's about questions of things I have done and even things I have not done and I always reply with as much detail and knowledge as possible. I think I have provided the forum with useful information like alot of us have, which has been helpful for many. The reason I am like this is because if it was not for this forum, I wouldn't know the things I know today. I came from not knowing how to change oil, to making my own custom turbo system and building an engine block by myself with no prior experience. All thanks to this great forum and community we have. - I think this car has come a looooong way. It should be Maxima of the Month because this car has been to 14 SoCal Maxima Meets!!!!! Yes, I have had Maxima meets every month for over a year with 30+ Maximas every month. Why you say?
This is one of my favorite 4th gens out there. He doesn't post on here very often, but I feel like this car deserves to be MOTM just for the flat out fact that this is one unique ride that anyone who is in the import scene appreciates. This car is always a head turner wherever he goes, people always ask me "Who's that guy?!" whenever he rolls through at meets.

Im in Orlando somewhat smooth roads ftw.

My parents bought the car in 2000, since then I would try and drive it as much as possible, and do small mods. Eventually I was able to buy it from them and claim it as my own.
For being 14 years old the car is in great shape.

As far as mods go nothing too major in my opinion.
I have it lowered, but only working with the stock suspension. I have 2.5 coils cut on all four corners. I haven't decided on a coil-over setup yet. I do plan on making it sit on its face though. All my cars have always been grounded. Static is the only way I will go.
Wheels are 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear. 35mm et on all four with a 5mm spacer out back. Wrapped in 225/40s.
-And yes, they are not the right bolt pattern. Some slimmer lugs with a little effort and they bolt right on!
Engine mods are basically just a cut out air box, and removed muffler.
Sound- Replaced the Bose HU after the infamous volume ghost moved into the car. still rocking the Bose speakers- they seem to never age.
Lighting- NO LEDS for me. Not to knock anyone else's car but some people go way out of control with the LEDS. Keep it simple. I've got HIDs in the front, with aftermarket assemblies. I was never a fan of the huge reflector look, I like the split high/low much better. Out back are 50/50s.

Information/Reason:

This is my 2008 6.5gen Maxima. My FIRST REAL car that i've actually paid for and the first I've ever modded. With a passion for cars & taking them to another level, I begin here.

My 2008 6.5gen Maxima is definitely a unique car to look at. Being that the car is so new, you barely see any modified 6.5gens. There are hardly any parts for this car, Nor IS THERE A LIP EVEN MADE FOR IT. When it comes to visual looks for this car, I've planned everything throughly before making any changes. My goal is simple, To have a very unique 6.5 gen, something that people dont see normally. To do so, I've decided to give my car one of the most unique looks out there by becomming the first 6.5gen to have a fully customized lip for the front bumper, made from a lip used for a completely different car. With having a car for show with some go in mind, I picture things to get done with my car - for example, looked through thousands of types of rims before choosing the one that I feel best suits my taste.

I bought this car on December 24th, 2007. I've fully maintained this car from the day I bought it & will continue to do so in the future. I have no intentions of ever getting rid of this car. I will continue to modify this car & make it unique to my style until there's nothing left to be done. Only at that point will I be fully satisfied with everything completed. But, until then, let the modding continue! At this point, my car is fully modded, performance wise to my liking. The final stage is to get it tuned and i'll be set!

Why MOTM? I believe it shows my passion and the effort I have put in to create my rendition of a well-rounded Maxima. OK, I have ALWAYS had sooo much fun logging into this particular forum and I guess I would like to, "show my hand". I love this forum sooo much and have done so many things that do not go into a "mod list" so to speak. All of my MODS worth noting are current in my signature and I have truly tried to share my experience with others in regards to simple pictures, input, installation, experience, opinions, etc. I have gained soooo much knowledge on this site when I purchased my stock 2007 Maxima almost 1.5 years ago. The first video I ever saw was another member I have grown to admire but yet never met, Chernmax. Simple seafoam video that I bet everyone saw got me started and I will not stop tailoring this Maxima to my liking ever, because there is always another fun project to take on and MODS just keep stacking up I've noticed!!! So YES, I DO nominate myself on this forum and this forum ONLY that I love! I come here everyday and always something new to read and new project that I get myself involved in because some member made me jealous! I can't think of any other time it was "fun" to be jealous of something. HERE it makes it fun and challenging to take on new things and enjoy the cars we love!!!!!!

I have already uploaded several pics in the past but I was trying to upload a few current ones showing the new MODS like the R2C intake for example. It just keeps giving me an error but I'm sure that can be fixed easily with some guidance telling me what I am doing wrong that worked before in the first place. I would like to be MOTM because this car has transformed since the day it was purchased in 2000 by my best friend (Edward) who now resides in Colorado (yes i drove it home from there in 2008). He gave me a really good deal and I really liked this car since he's owned it. He also gave me his login and password to this site . Most old school maxima owners know him too... He should deserve most of the credit because most of the mods were there when I bought it plus he got my attention to Maximas. I just made some changes like the 5 speed swap, cattman exhaust/headers, wheels and brakes, and the sound system was done by me which overall a pretty good amount of mods myself. I just want to finish what he started with quality parts. Most of the parts I have now are from fellow org members. I've also attended a lot of maxima meets and met so many helpful and inspiring members who still share the same passion in owning a Maxima.

i believe i should be maxima month cuz of the dedication i put into maxima's......i had this car since i was sixteen.. I riced it out. In memory of Bishnu (secondtonone317), he should be maxima of the month for august. He won the MOTM in october 2008 and this is when his maxima was in its prime. He was a great member of the nissan community and he recently passed away. He had one of the best modified 5th gens that the maxima community has seen and he will be missed.

Let me start off by saying im currently building this car up to its original state while doing mods.
This was a lucky find for me because i got it for free but even though what i had before me looked in pretty good shape i found out that it wasnt.
So far invested about 5K into it which alot of parts was just replaced from axles to transmission. Brakes/rotors was shot and calipars were locked up.

Why I should be MOTM?:
I bought the car in the summer of 2010 for $1500 from one of my friend's family friends, with 125,000 miles. Since then, I've done any and all work that I can with the tools I have avaliable to me. From oil changes, to the "Other Work Done" I listed; every modification I made, I made myself, no shops aided in my Maxima being the way it is today (Other than putting on tires, and doing diagnostics). From rolling on steelies, and running like $hit, I've taken my Maxima to a new level--aggressive, sleek, and smooth. My friends who also like to modify their cars, used to give me $hit about my car. My slogan of choice for responding to their criticism was always "I'm doing what I can with my family sedan." It speaks for itself. I am 18 years old, and have just moved into my dorm at University of North Carolina Wilmington, and feel that although I may not have 100 posts on here, I have spent my fair share of time looking up "DIYs" and reading all of the MOTM nominations up until my own. Although I may not have the most mod's or stuff like that, my car represents my dedication to the community, and the fact that I represent my maxima like no other.
