Due to the lack of participation in the nomination thread this may be the last MOTM. The lack of participation shows the lack of interest from the community so why bother putting effort in something that people don't really care for..right?

just because the submissions are down does not mean "hey everyone, you wont vote? i quit!" you are the head of the site, just get together with the other mods and pick one off of cardomain or in the thousands of pics in the archive photos untill submissions start rolling in again.
ok...well have you thought that maybe some people dont feel they have a car worth showing? they could be waiting for later this year to submit, there are many rides out there that are just one mod away, in the owners eyes from being submitted, but you know time and money is probaly better spent on life priorites. just sayin.

the premise of MOTM is to show case a member's car here. not a total stranger. not a someone who has 10 posts and never participate on the forum. it's not that cut and dry as you make it out to be. i'm not going to search other sites to look for a MOTM because the winner should be from HERE.
get together with the mods? you make it sound like we have daily team meetings and we sit around sipping tea and BS about the forum. there's a pool of cars that i will pick from. that's the nomination thread. the pool of cars are getting smaller and smaller. as it gets smaller and smaller i will just assume people don't care enough to participate.
here are the complaints i get on a regular basis...
- why x gen always win? (x is whatever gen they feel like complaining about)
- why do black and white color cars win more than other?
- why are the winners all in one area?
- why can't we put up nicer cars?...the one car you picked on x month sucked
- my car is nicer than theirs...why can't i be picked?
- what do i have to do to get you to pick my car?
- why is MOTM always late? why isn't it down on the 1st of every month when the clock hits midnight?
so to keep everyone happy i have to be fair in picking the cars every month.
if this ends up dying i will change the format of MOTM but for the time being the current format is dying.

i see where you're coming from but how about instead of every month, do it every 3 months or so? it'd make your "job" easier, and some people will have more time to submit their entries

it's always going to be "one mod away". you see cars that are selected with tons of mods...and you see cars selected with very little mods. it's never a who has the most toys win race. you guys surf the forum every day and i don't see anyone else making the effort to nominate someone else. only a small handful actually do that.

wow alot of complaining from people...ive seen a variety of gens win MOTM, white and black are common colors for any car so theres the answer to why they win more, simply cause the color is popular. ive always loved MOTM it has been one of my favorite things on the forum and id hate to see it go
hopefully this can get worked out
