FS: 98 VQ35 Maxima in Florida
FS: 98 VQ35 Maxima in Florida
Up for sale is my 98 VQ35 powered maxima. Mods are listed below.
Sagemist Green GXE trim
VQ35DE swap
5spd swap w/5th gen clutch and PP
5spd tranny rebuilt by cert. nissan tech w/new 1st gear, input shaft, input shaft bearings, diff carrier bearings
Test pipe
Stock Cat-Back
Nismo FPR
Autometer In-Line Fuel Pressure Gauge
K&N Intake
3rd Gen MAF
Cefiro Headlights with Denso ballasts and Phillips 4300k bulbs retro'd in with H4 Shields
Tein Basic Coilovers
Plus lots more
All the work on this car has been done by me minus the tranny rebuild. I have spent thousands of dollars in mods for this car, and it's time for me to move on to something stock again to plan for the future. A few things this car is going to need:
New axle seals (I didn't install the new ones properly, so they are leaking slowly.
A new coil pack (or multiple) I have a P1320 code so I don't know where the misfire is coming from. I replaced the cylinder 1 coil, but the car should probably have all new coils put in.
This has had one owner all it's life, and the body has 246k miles on it, though it is in very good shape, and so is the paint minus a few dings here and there. I have just recently replaced a ton of stuff on the car, list is as follows:
P/S boots
both axles
ball joints
Tires
Gauge Cluster trim piece
Passenger side wheel bearing
New front o2 sensors
I have of course replaced the motor and transmission as well. Tranny rebuild was done by a good nissan tech friend of mine, who also owns a turbo 4th gen.
Here are some pictures:

Mine is on the left in the above picture.

I don't have the lip anymore, nor the wheels and big brakes.
The car is a step faster than the 3.0L 5spds. It does need tuning, but runs hard for what it's at right now. It gets 300/tank with the 3.5 swap, and will get more once tuned. Serious inquries only.
I am asking 5500 OBO on the org. Price is negotiable.
Thanks for looking.

Yes, when I first got the car running I took it to the track (and blew the used tranny that was in the car at the time). My best time was a 15.2 @98 or 99mph, can't remember which. That was with a broken control rod, so I couldn't shift (and no traction). This car has low 14's in it right now, and will soon have mid to low 13's when I get the tuning done.
man i wish i had the money for this because some ahole just crashed into my 96 maxima and totaled it and am looking for another maxima but this is a little too expensive... if you drop the price message me . i think i live really close to you too

Wheels are Mille Miglia EVO 5 wheels 17X8. The Lip is made by Ionicdynamics.com and is usually 350 shipped from what I recall

I don't have any interior pictures at the moment, but I can get you some, give me a few days to get some together.
I put on the stock 15" rims with hubcaps. The Tein suspension is going off most likely in the new few weeks if the car doesn't sell.

I'm not willing to ship the car at this time. The price is the same as listed in the first post, it has already been dropped.
