i would but i dont know how. And i disconected the fuse to the alarm but then it goes back to not even being able to crank. I have to take out the main unit and uninstall everything i just dont have the time.

 

it's going to be a lot better looking in a week or so if things work out

 

bump for info. Someone should be comming tomorrow to uninstall the alarm.

not to ruin your thread because i understand you dont have time, but you would get SO much more money if you somehow made time to de-mod and sell parts...i bet you would get over 6.5k in parts alone

 

i dont have the time im up at school. so i dont have a car to get down there to work on the car and no car to get to work.

4x4 you could always buy it and sell the parts.. and its 6500obo with it not running.

 

You know if i had 6500 i would buy it immediatly without even hesitating, i would call off work and drive to philly right now. Whoever buys this thing will have an insane profit if they demod.

I do have a 99 also and its in perfect running condition, i would trade in a second plus me paying you some cash, but i dont know if you want another maxima.

I would like to know why it isn't running.

 

He doesn't know why it's not running. At first, he thought it was the alarm system. It apparently wasn't. Either way, it's a good deal. You could convert it back to stock and sell the parts for a decent profit. I would do just that, were it not for the fact that I'm too busy and I'm kinda' getting out of the Nissan game (GASP!).

 

I still do believe it is the alarm. I dont know who said that i said it wasnt the alarm. But the alarm is almost all the way out and we havent tried starting it yet. The last time it was tried to start was before we started taken the alarm out.

 

Ahh...my bad, then. To me (based on an earlier post), I assumed you'd at least gotten that far and had given up when it still wouldn't start. I can't believe an alarm uninstall can be so involved!

 

2 brains and about 5 relays makes it a little complicated. The car had remote start.

 

Thats alot of wires!! Are you going to just sell the car as is or are you going to try removing the alarm fully? I would buy it if I knew that was the problem. I already have someone that is willing to drive and tow it back to Vermont. I might be buying another max soon. But for the price I would like to get this one too. I'm probally just going to sell the car as is best offer. I won't be near the car for 2 weeks because I'm back up school and this comming weekend going to notre dame for a road trip with my friend to see his g/f. If anyone really wants to see the car my rents could show it or drive up to my school if someone is that serious.

Don't start to dismantle the maxima yet. I have been talking it over with my dad and he thinks it a good deal. He just wants to look over the listing. We already have transportation from pa to vt. So I willl let you know what he says.
