Okay, so in the next few months, I have decided that I will buy my third maxima. I've owned a 97 and a 99, and really want the 3.5 plus the good looks of the 5th gen. I will wait for the right car, and PLEASE only reply if your car FITS the criteria, not if it's just "close".

mine has a 100k on it but it is just about perfect, and I will have the outside professionally buffed/detailed, and it has the little things that the TE has like the chromed wheels and compass mirror

Only two things I did to it besides the usual mess are a Watkins 2 piece STS and a full set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires that have 15k on them.

What is your asking price, gephelps? Also what is a 2 piece STS? Sorry, I'm not up on all of these acronyms! Loved the pictures though and am very interested in your maxima.

Asking price is a funny thing. If you want to haggle then $17k and you can tell everyone you talked me down.

The kbb private party value is $15,955 and that is what I want. I believe that to be more than fair.

 

I am looking for between 13-14k. I know this is below book for what I want, but there is a number of people willing to sell for this price as of now. Unfortunately for everyone (yes, I am selling a car too), the market is horrendous. FYI I have had accepted offers on an 02 and an 03 for 13k each (both excellent, 60k and 40k mi respectively, the 02 w/ a navigation). I don't doubt your car is worth every penny of the kbb value you ran, but I'm obviously going with bang for my buck. Are you willing to come down to this range? If not, good luck selling. Looks like you have a gem of a maxima. I am however a motivated buyer who can make an easy deal. If you are willing to come down to my range I have no problem writing you a check and picking up the car myself. Let me know.
