I have been looking at 2002-2003 maximas lately, and the color I want is grey lustre. The problem I am facing is that they are all in GLE trim...however from what I have seen on the .org, the 02-03's in grey lustre are also available in SE trim.

Did 02-03 grey lustre colored cars come with black leather interiors (I have only seen them with grey interiors) & with 6 speed? The answer may be obvious, but I have not seen any 02-03 grey lustre 6 speed SE's locally for sale.

 

my auto 03 gray lustre has black leather with tan carpeting...its a two tone

also has black inserts in the door cards with tan on the rest...

 

tan carpeting? WTF? It came like that from the factory?

it is very rare! this is exactly what i was looking for before i bought my max. grey luster, 6 speed (w/ hlsd if possible), black leather interior, heated seats/mirrors/steering wheel, and auto climate control. this is a very hard car to find. i think i found one, maybe two maximas that fit the criteria. they are very hard to come by. good luck finding one. i ended up getting a black on black w/out lsd. i plan on getting just the exterior painted grey lustre down the road.

 

here ya go...yea Ive still yet to give it its first SCRUB!! and yes the tan is kinda tough to keep clean but oh well, i clean my cars twice a week in the warm months. and yes i know about the 20th mats...hey they were free

I don't think that's factory. I thought all Max's with leather also had automatic climate control. I'll bet that had a cloth interior from the factory and the previous owner probably installed the black leather seats.

That definitely is not factory. Those seats were installed after the car was assembled, and the inserts on the door are definitely aftermarket.

hmmm really...i thought it was kinda different...

some background...this car was a rental when it was new...bet it was replaced by the 2nd owner with black leather...the renters prolly tore up the interior with stains and rips. now it makes more sense with the two tone deal...i actually like it tho. the leather is immaculate and its practically brand new. only thing is i have to touch up the door card inserts with some glue...they also look non factory...i might even replace with something more like the seats since it seems to be different texture

any others think its not factory?

Isnt that the "frost" colored interior? I think that looks a lot nicer than tan, tan would be "blond" wouldnt it? I thought these cars came with frost, which is that- blond, which is tan- and black? If thats the case then those seats were originally white leather right?

That is my car right there. You got it right down to the HLSD. Fortunately for me, the dealer I bought it from was actually a Ford dealership, and they didn't realize how hard those are to come by. I got a good deal on it because they had it on the lot for a long time.

But to answer the OP question, yes. I have one. I can post pics if you want... but mine's not for sale.

 

I saw grey lusture only in GLE trim n the Autrader. Man why are we looking for the hardest colours? I want a Merlot SE with black leather 6-speed, I can only find them in auto's .

I thought once you understood the rarity of the car that you speak of, you would broaden your horizons.

 

Be patient, took me nearly 4 years (searching off and on) to find a 02 6spd with sunroof, without leather, that wasn't silver, tan, or black

 

Good luck. Just don't limit yourself to color choices. I was just looking for a 6 speed to replace my totalled car and got lucky and found a 03 6 speed w/hlsd, merdian package, leather package, the works except navi. And to top it off it was a rare color. Titanium

 

Not to the point where I have to pay thousands extra to import it, pay additional duties on and other fees to bring it into Canada...at that point ill just get a custom paint job done on a local car, or better yet just be happy with 2nd best (titanium or black)

Peter, the 2003's I am looking at are currently listing for 12-13k CDN...I am sure you are going to want more than that for your car so for now it is out of the equation. Is your car leased, or did you purchase it BTW?

 

Fully paid. Btw, just order from automax, sloted rotors, axxis ultimate pads, ss lines, all around and synthetic fluid. It can also be yours installed

 

I've never seen the titanium paint, anyone have pics of that?
