Hey guys...as some of you may already know...I have in my possession a parts car (salvage title) that isn't all that bad. It's a tan on green GXE with 73,xxxkmi on it. However, it has a bad transmission. I bought this car at an auction (Copart - it was recovered theft) in East Glassboro, NJ and on the way home to Albany the tranny gave out. I bought it because I was going to swap interiors and drive it. However, after the tranny went out...I reconsidered. It also needs the following: it's exhaust replaced, ignition fixed (it has no ignition or keys). The biggest issue with the car is the interior wiring and some of the stuff in the engine bay (fuse boxs). However, using my ignition....the car ran and drove fine other than the tranny and noise from the exhaust. Also, I have come to think about this a little and I think the tranny may actually be an easy fix (fill with ATF and get a new gasket). I think that's why I lost all the fluid while driving and why it was so bad in shifts. I just don't want to do the wiring, since I have no experience in that.

BUT....

If any of you guys out there have a tan on green GXE 4th gen....with extremely high mileage but in good shape....this car is perfect for you because you just swap your parts and put it on the road.

EVAP Canister
ECTS
The lower portion of the intake

THat's all really...everything else that I've taken off I still have.

I'm ready to get rid of this car for $750 obo...it needs work but it's the perfect project car (or parts car) since it only has 73kmi on it. Like I said, if you have a high mileage Maxima with all the parts needed...after swapping...you will have a low mileage one for a fraction of the cost. Here's the pics of the car...it is definitely a parts only car. I had to use the radiator and stuff like that on my other 97 (that I no longer have - sold) when I hit a deer and stuff. That's also the reason why the hood is messed up on the parts car. $750 obo takes it. I just want it gone.

looking to maybe swap the engine over to a 97 gxe

 

Interior is just the dash, seats, and the door panels. Nothing else really of value in there. The car was stolen originally and the interior was what was wrong with it. I purchased the car to put my old 97's interior into this one and drive it, but then the tranny died and the exhaust has horrible problems.

Just take the entire car . $750 obo.
