90 White SE Auto for sale in VA $1200 OBO
With the purchase of a new car for my daughter who is now driving, the Maxima must go.
Basics:
1990 White SE
Auto Transmission
318,*** approximate miles
located in Fredericksburg, VA
The Good:
-New tires (Kuhmo)
-New O2 sensor
-Recent timing belt and tensioner change
-Recent Full tune-up including - plugs, wires, rotor/cap, belts, filters, coolant flush, tranny flush
-Warpspeed Y pipe and 2-1/2" catback system
-Sunroof (no leaks)
-NEW cloth upholstery- The car had leather put on by the dealer at original sale, and the dealer gave us the original cloth upholstery (gray), which we've kept all these years. Last summer I put the fabric upholstery back on the front seats as the leather needed to be removed. I also have the cloth for the rear seat to be included with the car, I just never got around to swapping out with the leather.
-resoldered clock works!
The bad:
-Needs 1 maybe 2 injectors
-There is an oil leak at, I suspect, 2 engine seals
-Brakes are good, but peddle feel is a little soft - recently bled them, but soft feel persists, I suspect a M/C leak
-A couple of minor rust spots
-Reinstalled factory Bose and apparently only 1 speaker works, antenna slightly bent and will not retract.
In general the engine is very strong. As listed, I know one injector is bad (high resistance which becomes even worse when it heats up and creates a miss). I am pretty sure the rear main seal is leaking and possible the oil pan gasket as well. The engine doesn't burn any oil though and when the injector isn't missing, it is silky smooth with a nice deep growl thanks to the WSP Y and cat back!
The Maxima has been in my immediate family since it was new. It has never been in any serious accident. The mechanicals have always been well maintained with premium fluids. It has been an "outdoor car" (no garage) for the past 10 years, so there has been some degradation of the paint finish. The odometer has not always functioned correctly. The mileage on the odometer is reasonable accurate, but is not the exact mileage of the vehicle.
Asking price $1200. I will consider other serious offers. Available for test drive by appointment.

The car will also be listed locally next weekend if not sold here.
