1985 Maxima SE 5-speed in Maryland
Pictures
$1000/make offer, cash-only, clear title.
173,000 miles
-runs great
-interior is nearly perfect including the driver's seat.
-Flexpipe/precat/cat/exhaust all replaced 3 years ago. Seems to be still in good shape.
-New motor mounts ~ 4 years ago
-Timing belt changed at 135,000 miles
-New front pads/brembo rotors and rear pads a little over one year ago.
-New O2 sensor less than a year ago
-Alpine CD AM/FM head unit with AUX input
-Alpine 6.5" coax door speakers
-Voice alerts still work.
-Nissan OEM Sentra 16" wheels with Avon Tech M550A/S tires 75% tread (at least).
-Cockpit adjustable shocks.
Has a few issues:
-Parking brake doesn't work. Has a broken cable somewhere.
-Prev. Owner somehow broke windshield washer reservoir, said he put water in it and it froze Pump still works, but fluid leaks out.
-A/C needs a charge. Will run for about 10 seconds when you hit the button and then it stops. Air does begin to blow cold.
-Has one small rust spot on the driver's side rear fender-lip. Forgot to get a picture of that.
-Nasty scratch on the hood.
-Couple of dimple dents, but doesn't have any door dings.
-Clutch is out of adjustment and I just can't get my arms up there to adjust it. It holds fine in all gears at all throttle positions.
-Adjustable shocks adjust between blown, kinda blown, good. Car is find when set on "F", and the middle setting works OK at low speeds in a city. Soft setting is only good for making your passengers sick.
I'm the second owner of this car, original title said it was titled in Oct 1984. Paint is well above average for a car of this age. Everything other than what is stated above works fine. It is the best looking 2nd Gen. I've seen in person in a long time.
I just don't need the car now (too much hardware laying around, something has to go).
Includes:
-Original wheels in so-so shape (with beat Kumhos). You must take them and promise not to dump them anywhere.
-Original radio/AMP/speakers if desired (or I'll throw it away)
-Factory Service Manual
-Owners Manual
-Any extra filters/parts/etc I can find for the car.
