FS: 1995 5spd STOCK..Blown Motor
Hows it going guys.
I have a White 1995 GXE, 5spd, black interior, that I purchased off of a friend beacuse the motor blew a head gasket and he works in the city and needed a car fast.
The car has 180K miles on it and my buddy put brakes on the car along with a NEW clutch and Tires roughly 10K miles before the motor went (Dec. 06'). The front three cylinder have ZERO Compression. Its pretty unfortunate that this happend cause its such a nice car.
I started doing a little work on the car to get it ready for the installer, thats located in my town, and decided that I dont have time for it till early September and kinda in over my head. I have NO problem having the motor put in and selling the car if I get no interest in the car as is.
Right now, I have everything off the motor and in my shop in North Jersey. The motor will be purchased from a local yard and I was going to have it installed. I wasnt going to do the work myself, just get it ready for the shop (intake off, starter off, upper plenum off, radiator is out)
Once the motor is installed, the car will be perfect. This is a Great opportunity for someone to get a 5spd Maxima and purchase a newer motor, either 3.0DE, 3.0DEK or 3.5DE, and have a SUPER reliable car (I have a line on a 3.0DE with 30K and a 3.0DE with 42K both at the same yard in North Jersey) I can get you a great motor if you would like.
I can offer a tow to your location if your in North Jersey. If not, you will have to get the car towed.
$1800

Got the pictures.
Like you said, the car needs work, and I got to speak to someone about it.
I'm realy interested as I need a dd by the end of this coming week, so your in luck.
The car does have a big dent on the drivers side fender, which takes away from the cars good looks.
I checked out my uncles 4th gen Maxima, and the only tow hook is on the rear, so if I bring a trailer (one that holds the entire car and doesn't drad it on two wheels) the tow hook on the back has to be strong enough and not rusted through, because thats my only hope of getting the car on the trailer.
I can also get the two wheel trailers, i'm not sure if I can get the car on without it working.
Lets see what happends over the weekend.
Thanks.

Rust on the body is very good although the front radiator support is rusted, and will have to be tended to within the next year or two. I dont think its an issue right away though. Alot of guys have a peice welded to the front section for support which any body shop could do. Its a comman issue with 1995-1997 Maximas.
The exhaust looks fairly good. Other then the comman rust on the Y-pipe. With the motor out, its not a total bad idea to do an aftermarket Y-pipe for kicks
