Let me preface this by saying the following;

- It is NOT MINE, I am just passing along a good deal. Please direct all questions to the contact info below.

- I do not have pictures and am not sure if the seller does. EDIT -- Pictures here

- There will be no "dibs" or parting out, so do not ask. First person to show up with cash will take the entire car and get a crazy deal.

So with that said, the only reason I am not picking this up personally is because my girlfriend isn't too fond of having a 3rd Max/I30 in the driveway at this point (wants another 2-door project car). This would be GREAT to fix up and drive or use for parts. Honestly I'd feel bad parting it out because it looks to be in great shape otherwise. It's the model with the 16" wheels.

Blue book value...around $4,000-- however the powertrain control module (PCM) is completely fried. Avg quote to replace the main computer (pcm) is around $1,100. We already have a new car so are not interested in putting the money into this one. Could be a good deal for someone willing to put the money into it though...or someone interested in parts.

Also looking into donating the car. Email if you are interested and need more info.

wow....only if the car was closer! Thats an amazing deal! Could someone just buy an used PCM and just plug it in and go? I know some of the newer cars, especially Mercedes, have to be reprogrammed by a dealer to work properly. Would this be the case for this car?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that would be the case as '99+ have a built in immobilizer. The keys would probably need to be reprogrammed at the very least.

Just an FYI for anyone interested: the seller posted an updated Craigslist ad with a couple of pictures.
