FS: 98 sterling mist, 5 speed black leather, 3.5 engine, rx7 wheels, nitrous, etc

im sure you can find a million posts on here about my car, whats done to it and pics.

but here it is. 1998 sterling mist se maxima. 5 speed, black leather (no cracks), auto climate control, bose audio package. 260k on it, but you would never know it. bronze rx7 wheels wrapped in toyo proxes in good shape. stillen lip kit. car has light rear right quarter panel damaged from someone hitting me while car was parking in a parking lot.

mods: 2002 altima vq35de (ALL NEW OEM ONLY GASKETS/PARTS USED FOR EVERYTHING, new water pump, new chain, new guides, new tensioner, etc), pathfinder throttle body, stephenmax adaptors, ssim, safc2, motostorm underdrive pulley, phenolic lower intake spacer, port and polished lower intake manifold, stillen flywheel, spec stage 3 clutch, short ram intake with brand new k&n filter, k-sport coilovers, 'ae' headlights, yellow foglights, 5.5 gen hids, red/clear headlights, nitrous express 125 shot (never used on 3.5 engine), sx performance fuel pressure regulator, new optima redtop battery, new alternator, new starter, new cv axles (left and right), new ngk iridium sparkplugs, new z32 fuel filter, ebay y-pipe, BRAND NEW catalytic converter, brand new OEM catback. brand new k-sports in front installed with 0 miles on them (might need to be adjusted, installed and havent even drove on them)!! brand new windshield, alarm just installed (w/ remote start, trunk release, great alarm).

front lip has been repainted and bumper as been fixed as mentioned in other posts. the 3.5 has been fixed and is now at full potential, timing has been reset and all is well. car is great.

bad: hit lightly on quarter as mentioned (it is on right side, the side shown in pics, as you can see its not bad, but wanted to mention it). transmission grinds into 3rd and 4th, suggest rebuild but very driveable.

oooo oooo oooo...........i want!!!!.... what was the problem with owning the slowest 3.5 4th gen? and how did you fix it?

that thread states what was wrong. timing was off due to using 3.5 dowel pins with stephenmax adaptors rather than the 3.0 dowels pins. runs perfect now.

does the tranny have 260k miles on it? and is it an original 5 spd from the factory or did u swap it also? and is it CEL-less?

yes original 5 speed, thus the problems. it has a cel light for volume purge control last time i checked, that was it. the only reason it threw that was because its not hooked up.
