1995 Maxima w/ 350z leather seats, Evo rims - CA - possible trans problem

Hi all,

I think the time has finally come to get rid of the Maxima. I'm debating whether or not to sell it whole to a maxima fanatic, or to part it out.

It has 350z leather seats installed as can been seen at this thread:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=335349

heres a peek:

Pictures of the car can be viewed here:

So heres the good and the bad and hopefully I don't miss anything:

Specs:

1995 Nissan Maxima
183xxx miles
Automatic
Clean Title
No accidents

The Good:
Power windows, mirrors, driver seat
Sunroof
350z Leather seats, both are heated, driver seat has full power controls
Maxspeed lowering springs (lowers the car about 1 1/2 inch, still clears curbs)

KYB GR2 struts (relatively new, within the last 20k)
Enkei Mitsubishi Evolution Wheels w/ 235/45/17 tires - tires have good life left, not sure exactly how much (also have stock wheels and tires)

The combination of the three above make for far superior handling compared to a stock maxima (I know, because I regularly drive my gf's 1995 maxima).

Upgraded ARC Audio speakers front and rear (Front's have separate tweeters). It sounds great. (I'll be taking the subwoofers out. The Alpine head unit will probably go as well unless someone wants to pay extra to keep it in).
New A/C compressor - A/C blows COLD air

Interior is in great shape for its age
Engine runs smooth and strong
1999 clear headlights (as opposed to the 1995 foggy headlights)
Custom Enterprises Tail lights (no amber)

The Bad:
I think the transmission is failing. I'm not sure if its going to be a costly fix or not. I'm going to get it checked out, but at this point, I'm pretty sure I'm just going to get a new car (I've got my eye on an M3 convertible). The car runs and drives, but when accelerating, when it reaches 1,500 RPM it kind of stops like it doesn't want to accelerate any faster, until you give it enough gas to get it to 2,000 RPM, then it hops from 1,500 to 2,000 and takes off. When the car is in neutral the engine revs smoothly, so I'm pretty sure its a transmission problem. I just don't want to take the time or spend the money to fix it. It could be cheap, it could be expensive. Obviously max cost would be replacing the transmission.

The driver side door has a pretty big ding. The front bumper is beat up. Exterior isn't in the best overall shape.

Car is located in Altadena, CA (near Pasadena)

Price:

Like i said, not sure if I want to sell or part out.

If I can sell the whole thing as is (without the subwoofers, amp or alpine head unit), I'm asking:

3,900 obo.

Otherwise if there is no interest in the whole car, I will be willing to part out the seats and wheels.

Hit me up with any questions either in this thread or via pm and I will respond asap.
