FS: 1996 Maxima GLE in IL (Chicago) - now $1200...

PRICE DROP: Now 1200...

All,

I got rear ended - see pics below. Car drives fine. It has been my daily driver since 2000 - and I've been driving it as my only car since the accident - which was about 4 weeks ago. No CEL, no issues. This has been maintained immaculately - the interior is like new - I'll get pics of the interior soon - but it's the stock tan leather, Bose (99 head unit), auto. The seats, interior, carpet, etc. are immaculate. The only visible wear is some peeling leather on the steering wheel.

Mileage: 153k

I've replaced filters (air, fuel) regularly, and done oil changes every 3k with Castrol GTX 5W30 and Nissan OEM oil filters since I bought the car (in 2000). I've replaced the transmission fluid every 30k as well. Just before the accident I replaced the radiator hoses (as preventative maintenance).

All 4 tires are <5k miles old - Yokohama Avid H4s.

No cracked glass, all working windows, etc. No chips in windshield. Has heated leather seats and heated mirrors. Basically every option available except for 5-spd and rear spoiler. (Also has moonroof and deflector).

No engine leaks, no issues with the auto transmission. Rear valve cover gasket replacement, tube seal replacement, IACV gasket, PCV valve, EGR tube cleaning were all performed less than 30k miles ago... the exhaust system was replaced from the y-pipe onwards with a factory exhaust last fall - including muffler, y-pipe, and b-pipe - with new hardware and gaskets.

I would not hesitate to drive this car cross-country. I have had no accidents other than a small dent in the rear driver-side quarter panel - which was fixed last fall.

Here are the pics so you can see the damage. Right rear is damaged and right front fender. Rest of the car is fine. Airbags did not pop - it was a rear-end accident - where I was pushed into the car in front of me.

New asking price $1200 - but am open to offers. I'll throw in a box of spare parts (TB, IACV, a filter or two) with the car.

Only mods are a 9007 headlight conversion.

Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions. I've tried to put down as much info as possible to help answer any obvious questions you all might have...

Wow thatd be a great looking car if it wasnt for the trunk. Still 1200 is a good price for a solid driver.

The car was sold - I ended up having to undo that transaction (long story) - that guy still wanted to buy it - but I still need the max for a few weeks - until I trust my "new" daily driver which just had an engine swap. If he falls through, I'll definitely contact you.

Thanks man! the car is immaculate other than trunk and fender (some midwest rust ).

I have been driving it since the accident am still driving it. I was scammed by a private party on my replacement car for the max - so that car is getting in engine swap and i'm still driving the max around.. heck I just had to put in a new starter over the weekend I'd drive this think across the country and back in a heart beat. I just passed emissions a week ago - the people at the test station were giving me funny looks - I said STFU and just do the tests - and sure enough it passed - hahhaaa
