2002 Maxima HLSD 6-Speed Sterling Mist (Maryland)
2002 Maxima HLSD 6-Speed 79xxx Miles (Maryland)
Howdy Guys,
So I think it is time to sell my Maxima. I have owned my Maxima for 3 years and have loved every moment of it however I seem to be looking at G35s a lot more recently and wish to own a Sport Coupe. If I get what I want for her I will let her go and pick me up a G35
Forgot to add: 79xxx miles.
Here are 5, then a link to the rest of them...

I also have a 2004 Rear valve cover that will be installed (due to leaking spark plug seals)
PRICE REDUCED $5,500 SEE MY LAST POST
UPDATE:
Alright, I will try to get some interior pictures soon (it is clean inside except currently it is missing the radio which I have not had a chance to put in)
$5,500 TAKE IT AS IS
Now, in terms of cost, you save $2000 for not making me buy an exhaust for it and spending 2 hours working on the car.
The car runs, and drives fine (not really in the mood to drive it around much due to the exhaust not being there)
I drove the car to its current location, prior to being parked it was driven to and from VA to meet up with Weeble. It was my daily drive until I got my VW GTI, and simply put, it is not on the road now because I have very little time to get the car running.
I just started a new job, and am willing to lose some money on the car because I am making more money now. In my opinion, you are getting a good deal, because you spend $599 with Brian Cattman and 2 hours of your time and you have an 02 Maxima with a 06 Transmission (BRAND NEW), with new clutch and flywheel...
This car is a daily driver, and in great shape, all wear items from drag racing etc have been replaced and I am just tired of seeing it...
so yea, if you are worried about the running condition of the car and want to tire kick left and right saying it MIGHT not work, trust me I have enough videos to prove this car runs and drives, and enough people who have seen the car not 2 days prior to it being parked to witness this as well.
Again, I am not looking for tire kickers or people calling me asking about the Buy as is price without understanding that the car was a DD and I just don't care to waste any more time of mine converting it back to stock...
Nothing mechanically was wrong with the car and I just didn't finish my conversion from Intake / Header / Exhaust / AVIC-D3 like I planned to.
Read prior posts to see what is on the car now, or pm / email me if you any further questions.

More Information:
This car has been through a lot with me and I have kept it up to touch notch maintenance since the day I bought it. Aside from the obvious modifications I also have done a good amount of regular maintenance.
- Every year I would seafoam
- Every 3k miles oil / filter change
- Spark Plug Change at 60k Miles with OE Plugs
- Both axles replaced with RAxles, no attempts were even made to find cheaper
- Clutch master and slave cylinder replaced 15,000 miles ago
- Red Top Battery installed
- DOT 4 Fluid used for clutch master / slave cylinder (after new units were installed and lines flushed)
- 93 Octane Since date of Purchased
The car has treated me well over the last few years. I have had a change of heart and plan to pay off some backed up debt (from this car) of with the money I get for her. I still have not decided what car I am going to go with, all depends on where life takes me.
I want the car to find a good home
Several Techs have looked over my car (due to my paranoia) to check for any issues they could see coming up and everyone gave it a clean bill of health, no audible knocking, no timing chain rattle, aside from the clean sound of a healthy VQ35, no problems found.
Prior to my purchasing of the vehicle, the car was driven to Texas and Back a few times, so I know the car has a ton of highway miles and very little city (aside from what I put on it).
The car has gone as far as Tennessee, and sometimes back to MD in the same day without ever an issue.
I have never seen any signs of oil burning at all.
All in all the car is perfect, and I would love to keep it forever as I know 6-speeds are becoming more rare and I feel the 5.5 Gens are the best Maximas in regards to power and performance. I know someday a 6-speed 5.5 will be hard to find, let alone with an 06 6-speed that is 10x better then the stock trans and HLSD...
Thanks for reading all this :-P

Sounds interesting. Does this have the titanium package? Can we see pics of the interior? Why was the tranny changed? I assume the $11k price is with mods included? Thanks.

No, this is a non titanium edition Maxima
I will have Pictures this coming weekend
My previous transmission had broken and instead of attempting a rebuild I felt it was better to purchase a stronger transmission
I had the car listed with mods but decided I would rather part the car out so that I can open the car up for sale outside of the org. The NADA Value on my car is $9600 and with close to $3000 worth of brand new parts (not including labor and time) recently installed on the car to fix worn our parts (Axles, Transmission, Clutch and Flywheel) I feel it is only fair to try to get 50% of my money back especially since all the parts have less then 1000 miles on them.
If I had found a used 02 - 03 6 speed (with their common problems of crunching third) or attempted to find autozone axles or OEM clutch / flywheel then I probably would not be requesting anything for those parts, however this is a one of a kind in regards to the transmission that is in it, also has a clutch that is going to feel nice and give the car (even unmodified) a nice driving style and axles that are the best you are going to find on a max. Remember I said OBO but I am pretty firm with $11k and think the car is worth it.
This car will be returned to bone stock except for the alarm system which is staying. I am also going to remove the tint (My friend weeble use to work as a tinter and knows how to properly remove it without leaving any residue) to save the buyer the hassle.
As stated I will have more pictures this weekend when I have a chance to take pictures in better weather.
I am going to reinstall all parts as carefully as mine have come off and back to stock as if I was keeping this. This means new gaskets will be used for all the exhaust, no OE parts are going to go on the car that are in anyway damaged. This will not be a hack job restore but more so a way for me to look over the entire car for any parts I feel are needing replacement and just give it another look over.

Update:
Took a few of the current parts out of the car to get ready to convert back to stock
Headunit
Amp
Sub were all taken out
I will have more pictures tomorrow of the ext and interior.
Just a reminder I am willing to accept all reasonable offers. After the car has been reverted to stock it will be posted on Autotrader and other similar sites so get your foot in the door before this car is sold to a non max enthusiast.

Alright, I will try to get some interior pictures soon (it is clean inside except currently it is missing the radio which I have not had a chance to put in)
$5,500 TAKE IT AS IS
This means...
No Exhaust from the Catback
Radio not installed (Have to pick it up from VA) but everything is there for a plug and play install
Rear Valve Cover needs to be installed (Easy job, have the valve cover, too lazy to install)

Within the last 500 Miles The following was done...
$2000~ - 2006 Maxima Transmission from Dave B (Not only is it new, it is better then the 02 - 04 6-speed with dual-layer syncros)
$550~ - Brand new Fidanza Lightened Flywheel (I had mine completely remade, which is literally brand new
$300~ - Exedy Stage 1 I believe (been so long) Clutch
$398~ - 4 hours of my time ($99 shop rate for labor)
$199~ - RAxle Driver Side Axle
$3447~ + Gear Oil and any other small things i might have needed and Shipping
I am sorry, but I think $5,500 is enough of a deal at this point. Since I spent about $3500~ less then 500 miles ago on the car.

Okay, I do not want to be a ****, but I have to say it (so I don't have to answer the PMs / e-mails personally)
I am not doing any more work to the car
the car has 79,xxx miles
the price is $5,500 no questions regarding price asked
I don't mean to make hostile posts, but I can't believe I am getting the questions I am getting since all of them answered in this thread and the price is amazing.
THE CAR IS PRICED TO SELL... not for you to think you might be able to get $4500 if you ask your mom and then offer me $4,000 so you can buy the t-mobile G1... if you can't afford a 5.5 gen, then you can't afford it, but stop asking me if I will take anything below $5,500. I am already losing a **** load of money.
Again, I don't want to be a ****, but seriously guys, do you realize that $5,500 is an AMAZING DEAL for what you are getting...
